Excellent food - Edit
We've been regular visitors to this gem of a restaurant. The food is really great value, super-tasty and all our needs were catered for by the wonderful staff. I recommend a visit 👍

De kaart can de Membawang corner heeft meerdere vegan opties! Ik ging even voor simpel en bestelde de avocado toast (zonder eggs). Dit wilden ze prima voor mij maken. Het was zo klaar en erg lekker. Minpuntje vond ik wel dat ze geen almond- soy- of oatmilk hebben en je dus geen cappuccino o.i.d. kan krijgen. Het restaurant zit voor/bij een hotel, maar je kunt er gewoon naar binnen lopen!

Their veg curry is excellent and is their Tempe & Tofu Balado - they gave you good amount of protein - was very satisfied ( spicy though )
Avo Tocu scrambled also was done great - flavorful and colorful as well - light but perfect to start your day …

Based on the website and previous reviews we expected Membawang Corner to be our go-to restaurant on Langkawi and were so happy that it was located very close to our hotel.
Read moreWhen we arrived, we discovered that it moved to a new location and is located at Lot 33 now (it‘s the same street, just a few meters away). It is situated within the Lot 33 Bistro & Bar and is very easy to miss because there is only a small sign and there is a shop and a hotel there as well.
Unfortunately, the vegan options are fewer now, too: There are three different sambal options, a vegetable curry and scrambled tofu. My husband had the sambal berlado, which tasted ok but since everything was deep fried, it was a very heavy meal. I had the curry and did not like it at all, it was very, very oily and just did not taste well.
Although we were disappointed, we visited again a few days later because there were not many vegan options close to our hotel. We had the scrambled tofu this time. It is made of very soft tofu and thus it really resembles scrambled egg, which I did not really like, but my husband thought it was good.
I want to add that the restaurant itself is beautiful, the decoration is sophisticated and there are many pieces of art on display and even to buy. The vegan options are clearly marked and that is something, especially right now that many things are still unclear regarding some restaurants and vegan food can be hard to find.
The staff could be a bit more welcoming, though, and we just expected more of this restaurant.

One of the best little restaurants on the island that will become your favourite place to eat for flavoursome food, friendly faces and excellent value for money.
Read moreThey often have specials and many vegan options like vegan tacos, burger, pasta dishes, wraps, curries.
I highly recommend the tacos and their special Veggie Goreng Berlado (check when available)
