Yummy lunch - Edit
My hummus bowl was really delicious! Though only a couple vegan options I wasn’t disappointed with this. The smashed avo was also great. I loved the locally grown Ikarus coffee, NZ’s only coffee grower. Smooth as silk!

Clueless staff - Edit
Tried to get info on the various plant based options on the menu from the staff on the day but was not filled with confidence at all she knew what the answer was. Mumbled about gluten free pizza base options, and buckwheat flour for pancakes. So gave it a miss. Coffee was good though.

Crunch crunch crunch - Edit
Surprising find in Kaitaia with lots of plant based options labeled on the menu. Highly recommend the fresh orange and quinoa salad, and if you get the balsamic mushroom burger the side of potatoes is a must - those crunchy gems are delish!! #Veganuary

Great atmosphere and yummy food - Edit
We were stoked to find several plant based and vegetarian options on the menu and we loved the outdoor space. The kids had a great time entertaining themselves on the playground equipment and with the lawn games.

Happy food - Edit
We go to the Peek a boo regularly and can really recommend all the treats and foods they have. The warm Olives are a special treat to share and the Zucca is moth watering. They even surf a vegetarian Pizza, with mushrooms from Kerikeri. The Service in the restaurant is so friendly and the outside nice for kids and adults to play, we specially like the corn howl game and the relaxed attitude of the staff.

Needs improvement - Edit
Despite the menu listing several vegan options, the chef on the day said he could only provide Polenta Fries and a Salad. When I pointed out the menu had several Vegan options including a burger - he realised he could do it.
