Fantastic!

The hosts and this fully vegan B&B are both more than deserving of a 5 star review. From booking to departing the owners Helen and Karl have provided friendly and attentive hospitality and we have just had the most enjoyable short break we have experienced in a long time. The rooms are spotless, well furnished and the beds comfortable. There is a noticeable emphasis to provide quality ethical products and a desire by the hosts to ensure you receive the best level of service possible.
The breakfast was amazing with fresh quality ingredients, hearty portions and multiple courses that set you up for the whole day. Easy free parking during your stay and a great place to base yourself for all the amazing places and things to do in and around Scarborough.

Pros: Friendly Service, Amazing Breakfast, Clean and comfortable rooms

WOW

What can I say about our stay at Peasholm Park Vegan B&B but WOW.... From entry to exit our stay was first class, the quality of the furnishings, the carpets, the decor, the cleanliness and the hospitality would stand them as a top B&B in any ranking but add the superb standard of vegan food on top of that and this beautifully located B&B should be an award winner..... I wish there were 6 stars to give...

Pros: Superb food quality, Superb location, Superb cleanliness

Amazing Stay

Stayed for two nights over the August bank holiday weekend and we had the most amazing and enjoyable stay.

Helen and Karl (the owners) are genuinely the nicest people you could meet and are so friendly and attentive.

The room was spacious, spotless and had probably the comfiest bed we have ever stayed in. There were vegan treats in the room and access to vegan milk (assigned to your room) in a fridge on the landing, which were great. The breakfast was very tasty and a hearty size to set you up for the day. We particularly enjoyed the scrambled tofu and there was also some extra treats, such as chia pudding.

The whole property was great, with an ideal location for exploring, and had a lovely front garden leading to the entrance. There was also a lovely smell of incense. We felt completely safe at all times, with the owners taking great care and effort to ensure this in the current circumstances.

We really appreciated all the extra steps the owners took, such as emailing us a vegan friendly eating out guide for the area.

We would wholeheartedly recommend and are already looking into a return visit.

Thank you!
Ben and Becky 😊

Pros: Everything - but, in particular: the hosts, the fact it's 100% vegan, the food and the location

Cons: None.

Brilliant

This place is paradise for any vegan, especially if you've spent time in a non vegan hotel and got used to doing without (milk, toiletries, food). My family and I had a wonderful 3 nights and are already planning a return visit. My five year old son especially enjoyed the never ending breakfasts (including chocolate surprises), the flowing conversation, and having his own tv in the family room.

We can't wait to come back!

Pros: Best hosts ever, Enormous breakfasts, Spotless rooms with vegan treats

Best B&B I’ve ever stayed at.

Owners were incredibly nice and welcoming. It is a very short walk to a beautiful park or to the sea. Anything we asked for, they would get for us. Even gave us a small bag of spices to make tofu scramble with when we got back home. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Love this place

Absolutely love this place.
From the minute we got there we were made to feel so welcome. The owners are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble.
The place is spotlessly clean throughout.
The bedrooms are nicely decorated and have vegan toiletries to use.
Tea and coffee are provided in the rooms and there is a fridge in the communal space with Soya milk numbered in bottles for each room.
Instead of the tiny packs of biscuits you usually get in rooms there are Naked Bars here.
Downstairs there is a table tennis table which kept my youngest amused for some time.
The Breakfast the next morning was fantastic with a selection of cereals, pastries, toast and a full cooked breakfast which was delicious.
The location is great. A few strides from Peasholme Park and not much further to the Beach.
They don’t do evening meals but are happy to recommend nearby restaurants which cater for Vegans.
We will definitely be returning next year when they open.

Fantastic experience

Definitely recommend staying at PPVB&B! We only stayed for a night as we were passing through but I wished we could make it longer because it was such a wholesome friendly place. Helen and Karl honestly are some of the loveliest people we've ever met, they really went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The vegan breakfast had so many options, too many for us to try in one meal but the cooked breakfast I had was 10/10 delicious. Our family room was lovely, there's a games room too, everything was spotlessly clean. Scarborough has a lot to explore too, and Peasholm Park itself is right across the road and looks like there are lots of fun things to do there.

Pros: Everything is vegan, Such a great wholesome vibe there, Karl and Helen are so kind and helpful.

Vegan Paradise & Fantastic Hosts

Found Peasholm Vegan B&B in the Vegan Society magazine. Owners Helen and Karl only took over in March this year and have lots of plans for the place, so would love to come back and see what they do.

We stayed in the bright and airy room 22 on the top floor, which has a tea tray with complimentary Lotus biscuits and chocolate Tiffins. There is a lovely guest lounge, conservatory and gardens to sit in on sunny days. Also handy for Peasholm Park and catching the bus that runs from Scalby Mills right through to the town centre and railway station so handy for travellers without a car

Breakfast is substantial in the lovely dining room, with a fabulous continental selection and loads of hot breakfast items, with a top notch full English. Very accommodating as to allergies which I suffer from and Helen and Karl took great care to ensure everything was suitable for me.

There is a guest bar if you fancy a drink before you go out at night and a full information pack in the room with places to dine for vegans of which there are plenty.

Vegan B&B's are few and far between and it is wonderful to be able to relax, knowing that it's 100% vegan from the toiletries in the bathroom, plant milks and all the food.

Highly recommended.

Pros: 100% vegan, Fantastic friendly hosts, Exceedingly accommodating & helpful

Excellent stay, couldn't recommend enough!

The couple that owns the B&B really go the extra mile for their guests. They are very passionate about their business and the welfare of their guests which really shows. They're very considerate as upon arrival I was asked how I felt about vegan products which "may contain" anything non-vegan, I was given a tour of the hotel and a pack of millionnaire shortbread. They're very friendly and welcoming, more so than what I've experienced with any other hotel, giving the place a very relaxed and homely feel to it. The breakfast is delicious with so many options. There are many varieties of vegan cereals which I didn't even know about, an assortment of vegan spreads as well as fruits and juices. Every day, a different daily breakfast special is handmade which includes smoothies, pain au chocolat, and cacao chia pudding. The cooked breakfast is incredible which even has vegan bacon and a tofu scramble. The whole place has a warm homely feel from the board games, bookshelves and I especially love the random pieces of fruit dotted around the place for people to help themselves to! I'd definitely love to come and visit again in the future.

Pros: Caring and accommodating owners, Delicious varied breakfast with loads of options, Folder with list of recommended places to eat

Cons: No smooth option of orange juice

Very Happy Vegans

Wonderful stay at this B n B.
Owners are so friendly and welcoming. They have good knowledge of vegan places to eat and things to do. The location is great - opposite Peaseholm Park and not far from the beach. It has lovely sunny outdoor seating areas as well as a conservatory.
Had an excellent night’s sleep.
We enjoyed a pleasant evening playing cards and sampling the vegan bar there.
The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day.
A great place and great value for money. We’re already planning our next visit.

Pros: Attentive hosts, Great breakfast, Everything is vegan and cruelty free

One night stay - bliss

We booked at this hotel purely as it was Vegan, a rare treat. We were on our way to see the Spice Girls (hurray) and my daughters flight arrived at a totally different time to expected - no matter that we were over three hours late, and were there at 11.30pm, Helen stayed up and made us very welcome.

Lovely comfortable room, had a great night sleep. Breakfast very special, so nice not to have to worry what we ate. Nice hosts, nice chats, good atmosphere, intend to return one day.

Pros: Vegan - throughout, food, products, no duck duvets, Hosts - very welcoming and accommodating, Room - comfortable, relaxing and welcoming

Cons: Little updating needed but on track

Incredible Vegan hotel

Just returned from a short break at this wonderful new vegan hotel and what an amazing experience. New owners Karl and Helen have exceptional hosting skills and cater for your needs with respect and courtesy. Nothing is too much trouble and many vegetarian/vegan hotels should take a leaf out of their book for providing such a substantial, healthy and varied breakfast. The accommodation is beautiful, with emphasis on cleanliness and offers a calming, peaceful atmosphere. It also benefits from views over Peasholm Park and is within walking distant of the sea front. Please give this hotel a try, whether vegan or not, you will not be disappointed.

Pros: Hospitality, Accommodation, Food
