Nice staff. Mediocre food - Edit
I was not impressed but vegan options are a bit thin on the ground in Coleraine. Staff were friendly but food was underwhelming. I ate it anyway as my blood sugar was low. I’d give it a miss next time.

Nice place - Edit
Nice little café, eat there a while back and from memory, their vegan selection is limited, but what I had was very tasty

Amazing Toastie - Edit
We stopped in for lunch and I went for the Vegan Fillet toastie, major scran!! It's filled thick and has the perfect combination of red onion and relish. You get the option of having two side salads or one cup of soup with it; I went for the soup because the only two vegan side salads are pasta or lettuce. Maybe it would be nice to see more options for this, but to be fair the soup was delicious and it's a small cafe, so couldn't realistically ask more from them. Overall, a super tasty and filling lunch.

Great options - Edit
I had the vegan fillet with a chilli jam it tasted like in sourdough, was so delicious. Very impressed. Came with two sides, had the tomato pasta and a side salad. They also have a sausage roll, couple of tray bake options and plant milks, definitely worth a visit 💚

Lunch - Edit
UPDATE: doing takeouts during COVID restrictions, got the vegan sausage roll that comes with side salad, best value lunch in Coleraine!
A deli style cafe with trendy internal decor. Think it was a fruit shop a long time ago, hence the name? Tried mainly due to fact that Rishi Sunak had packed out nearly everywhere else though here was popular too. Not loads of seating but enough to do.
Does vegan sausage roll plus a side for 1.90 - big hearty and nice tasting roll. Also got smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough. Also does cafe favourites from NI from the olden days like the baked potato plus beans so a diverse kind of menu. Again all nice, well done and also had an Americano coffee which in main was smooth. For Coleraine pretty good food options for lunch.
Lots of coffee vendors in area and is holding its own against competitors on every level from down-market Gregg's to up market lost and found. Better food than the former and better service than the latter.

I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of Vegan food and delicious coffee and herbal teas in Pear Tree. Staff are friendly and willing to accommodate to help you find your perfect meal. Great prices and definitely a must try coffee shop!
