The best brownie I've ever had

We went here for lunch today, and it was a great surprise. They had SO MUCH vegan food on the menu, (the owner said to us that they aim for 50/50 meat and vegan food). We hade some starters that were really tasty and the potions very generous, the main courses also, we were very happy but then came the desert - it was a super delicious vegan brownie with vegan vanilla ice-cream and vegan whipped cream. For a chocolate cake and whipped cream loving vegan gal I was beside myself, and it was soooo tasty. And don't get me started on how rare it is to get a "normal" vegan dessert out there (or even any vegan dessert at all!)
They had a lot of other great looking items on the menu that we will come back and try for sure, a risotto, fajitas, hamburgers and much more. The owner also say they make everything on the menu themselves and the vegan burger has won second price in a competition for Spain's best vegan hamburger.
To top of the experience the place was really nicely decorated. It was a atmosphere were you wanted to stay a good while.
Highly highly recommend. A hidden gem in the south of the island.
Be ware: They will begin to open at 3 o'clock from February not 1 o'clock like now.

Updated: I've been here one other time and this time we weren't all that impressed with the food. It was more mediocre. The brownie was still delicious, the first time around I think I was more blown away by that than by the other plates. Another con is that this time around they didn't have any vegan whipped cream and they told me they never had (!!) The plate is marked vegan but apparently served with non-vegan whipped cream, so be ware!

Mixed opinion

We went here several times during our stay at the island. The vegan deluxe burger, fries and samosas are really great! The croquettes and veganized pizza were okay. But it’s not that expensive so we weren’t to picky about it. They are very friendly and try their best to make you a good vegan dish. Sadly when we wanted the vegan brownie they were out of vegan ice cream, but the brownie was really delicious anyway!

Pros: Quite some vegan options, Very friendly and flexible, Price

Cons: Serves meat , Some dishes are really good while others are ‘ok’

Excelentes opciones veganas y vegetarianas

Un lugar diferente en el Tablero, apostando por la calidad en la comida, trato familiar y ahora con música en directo los viernes.

Delicious hidden gem

This place is a little outside Maspalomas but well worth the short drive. The interior design is elegant and the food was homemade (even their own vegan cheese in the burger) and really excellent. Highly recommend the olive pate, the lentil burger that held its shape well and the chocolate brownie to finish. There are lots of vegan options and they are clearly labeled on the menu. The owner was vegetarian and very helpful. She said she wished it could be 100% vegetarian but it would make business difficult which is understandable in a small town.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, clearly labeled , Great price, Very friendly and helpful to vegans

Cons: You probably have to drive there

Ok, but Not Great.

Lovely café ❤️🌱🌿

Had a great meal at this café away from all the tourist traps of the Maspalomas/Sonnenland area. Friendly staff. Ended the meal with a vegan cappuccino with brownie.

Pros: MANY vegan options :P, Very nice café in local neighbourhood , Very reasonable prices

MODERN, DELICIOUS & VEGAN

Quick and easy

Friendly and helpfull staff. The food was delivered quickly and it was easy to find on the menu. I had the croquette's and my partner had the burger. It was ok taste.

Pros: Fast service, Easy meny (but in spanish)

Cons: The food wasn't super tasty.

Nice place

Very friendly staff. Food arrived quickly. Good selection of plant based smoothies and herbal infusions.

Great burgers, great place to hang out.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch hour at Passion Coffee. The fact that we were surrounded by locals who had lunch there, held meetings there or just sat with their newspaper and coffee refills had is hoping for quality food. We shared a pitcher of super yummy homemade lemonade, I had a very good if slightly cold vegan lentil burger - should have asked for more dip but enjoyed everything else very much, including the sweet potato fries. My friend had the burger with Brie and though it's an unusual combination, he enjoyed it and his regular fries were delicious. Espresso was top-notch and service was super nice and quick. Big screen TVs, air-conditioning, a VERY nice interior, not (yet!) too crowded and easily reachable: this will become one of our regular lunch stops.
The owner is vegan and works counter and service. The place looks amazing and was very comfortable, a little way from the malls and tourist joints, which I love.

Pros: Lots of vegan options for a. try reasonable price.

at last - real veggie/vegan food!

As vegetarians Gran Canaria is not the easiest places to eat out properly, so it was great to find somewhere that served real veggie/vegan food - has a dedicated vegan section to the menu, with several good options. Food was great, as was the service.
