The food was so tasty and It’s fully vegan. I tried some of their dishes and loved them! The owner and the woman who is responsible for the kitchen were both so nice and friendly. I also tried their alfajor and loved it!

A wonderful vegan spot! Cozy little space with lovely people 😍 The owner, an Argentinian lady, speaks excellent English and took care of us right away, giving us the English menu, explaining, and recommending the dishes. The food was fantastic; it was nice to try vegan versions of traditional dishes, something new for us. We went there for lunch and even returned the next day for breakfast to try the potato tortillas. The cakes were delicious as well, with something different every day. My favorite place in Gijon.

Really lovely staff. Had a coffee and cake and it was delicious! Would love to go back for lunch. Got some treats for our doggo too, which he really enjoyed! Beautiful place and really loved it there. If I were local to the area I'd go all the time!

A small, fairly typical Spanish style cafetería in which all the food happens to be vegan. I went in twice before with the intention of trying the pizza without success. I assume it's permanently off the menu now. Nonetheless the vegan tortilla is excellent, especially the one with impressively flavourful chorizo. Overall a nice space where one can enjoy a genuine, down-to-earth Spanish tapas experience. Some of the jungle/rainforest vibe decor is a bit kitchsy.

You might pass this place, or upon entering, expect less than its unassuming character suggests. But its reputation is perfectly just and you must visit if you find yourself hungry or peckish in Gijon.

Han añadido los tequeños y tanto la masa como el queso vegetal.....alucinantes!!!

Very helpful & friendly family business. Helpful in choosing what to order. We shared between the two of us. We had 2 empanadas - spinach & cheese & onion, the Neapolitan tortilla, and the no calamari sandwich - all were amazing. The tortilla was the best !!

Packed fabulous vegan bar - cafeteria - Edit
There are at least a couple of healthy vegan cafés in Gijon (like many Spanish cities). We love exploring rural areas when travelling but it's always nice to visit a city for a day and grab some vegan goodness. Pasiones Bar is in a street near the beach front, it was busy and bustling but they were so helpful we soon found a spot (or you are welcome to sit at the bar - Great Bar!). Huge huge menu & they even have copies in english, however whatever you choose it's going to be delicious. All vegan! Tapas or full plates or mix it up. Waiters very helpfull, happy to advise, fully invested in the existential climate crisis and the need to eat with kindness and sustainability. Homemade patties 100 times better than ready-mades !! We were there for lunch, they also do evenings which must be great with the bar - would love to try it. Closed Wednesdays at time of writing - May 24. Highly Recommended!

If it sounds like a lot of food, it was a lot of food, but extremely worth it. I would recommend maybe two to three rations per person, or more if you're sharing. Very much a community vibe with regulars, but very friendly and open staff.

Amazing vegan tapas with an Argentinian twist - Edit
Don’t be fooled by the traditional appearance of this place, it’s a MUST visit if you enjoy eating vegan. The food was brilliant and the owners so lovely! We tried many of the dishes including multiple different empinadas, tortilla, calamari, choripán (amazing!!) and an alforjores for desert. I wish I lived in Gijón so I could support this place regularly!

You would never know this place is vegan just by walking past. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and staff. They were so sweet. I loved the tortilla napolitana. It was so flavorful. I wanted to take home everything on the menu. I was happy to see empanadas on the menu. There is also a variety of desserts.
