Impressive

I’ve had takeaways on multiple occasions, and also eaten in. Not the kind of place you want to go for a quiet meal, but the atmosphere, people, staff and most importantly the food are seriously impressive.

They offer a soya equivalent to chicken and lamb, and this can be added to any curry. The vegan mixed grill is amazing too.

Aesthetically this place isn’t great, but it is definitely up there as far as food quality goes. If you’re in the area, you must give this place a go.

Vegan curry heaven

If you look at Parkfields from outside, the first words that spring to mind probably aren’t ‘vegan curry heaven’ and I can see why. But like all good things, it’s not what’s on the outside that matters.

The vegan menu is pretty extensive with multiple curry options, starters and other dishes. Chicken and Lamb (mock meats) are your options for curry and you can have everything from tikka masala to jalfrezi to vindaloo and everything in between. The sizzler dishes, such as the chicken tikka starter and the vegan mixed grill platter get the senses going. They even do a vegan dip (kind of like raita) which is excellent at taking the heat off of the spiciest curry.

Let’s talk price. I actually think they’re way undervaluing their food. You can get 2 curry’s for £10 Monday - Thursday with 2 naan breads which is crazy good value but even at regular price, I’d be happy to pay more for what’s on offer and the exceedingly high quality of the food.

If you love curry, you need to check this place out. Fair warning if you do, you’ll be hooked and go back for more!

Pros: Big menu for vegans, Exceptionally well priced, Great atmosphere inside
