Fresh fast Italian food! - Edit
I finally got to check out the all-new Papi’, located by the White Plains train station!
Read moreThe location itself can be a bit hard to miss, but if you look for the 15 Bank Apartment complex when leaving from the right of the main train 🚊 station entrance, you’ll be sure to find Papi’! It’s what they say they are, fast casual Italian food but the kicker is that it tastes like REAL Italian food. The greatest thing is that the greens are grown in-house (and you can watch them too) along with the restaurant itself being eco-friendly! No toxic plastic here; wooden utensils, paper bowls, and cork trays for pinsa is where it’s at. The owner and head chef are both Italian-born which also makes this whole place far more amazing. That’s what I meant by real Italian food is being made here.
As for vegan options, they are currently expanding, but are open to any suggestions. Just message them 👌🏼 Everything on the menu is labeled. Their Prosecco is vegan-friendly and they have soy milk for coffee right now. They have zoodles for pasta 🍝 (but plan on making it more fettuccine shaped soon) and cauliflower crust for the pinsa 🍕 that are vegan as well as gluten free. They also want gluten-free customers to come and try their items. You can add most toppings for the pasta as long as there is no meat and/or cheese and for the pinsa there is only the vegetarian (shown here) which has mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, and eggplant with red sauce. If you don’t know what pinsa is, it is a special kind of preparation of pizza where the pie has a “delightful, crispy texture on the outside and an incredibly soft, tasty inside”. Let me tell you, this pinsa was WOW! 🤤 First off, the crust is perfectly thin and charred and doesn’t taste anything like cauliflower, just a nice, light pizza dough. As for the veggies, perfectly seasoned and the sauce is killer.
Please come by Papi’ whether you are leaving or heading to the train, or just to go to give this fast casual Italian place a chance, as you should 😊 Welcome to Westchester, Papi’! 🌱 💕
Pros: Fresh ingredients, Eco-friendly, Great staff
Cons: Place can be hard to find
