Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. Typical, traditional Georgian food with a few vegan choices such as the bkhali (starter made from walnuts and eggplant) and dishes with mushrooms and potatoes. Staff speaks English and will direct you to what's vegan suitable. Nicely decorated space in the city centre, near the main square. Live music sometimes. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-11:30pm.

Very tasty, probably difficult to get a table - Edit
Reservations recommended! Despite not having made a reservation, we were kindly given a table for a specific time period. The waiter spoke very good English and explained the three vegan options to us when we asked. We chose: Lobio (Georgian beans) and mushrooms with walnuts.

Evening time in Palaty - Edit
I ordered a vegetable plate ( 1/2 portion) and a glass of wine. There is a nice and quiet vibe in this restaurant. Also, there was on live music, making the moment even more sweet.

Best georgian vegan food - Edit
This restaurant was such a positive surprise. The staff spoke English and was extremely helpful explaining the vegan dishes available. This was our best dining experience in non-vegan restaurant in Georgia. The food is amazingly tasty and the dishes are big. We shared tomato cucumber salad, mexican potatoes, mushrooms and a bean soup. Everything was super lovely.

Limited options - Edit
We got a private table on the 1st floor balcony with a lovely view. The seats on the ground floor and inside the restaurant looked a less nice to us.
Read moreWe ordered all the vegan options on the menu (there aren’t many). The staff was aware about veganism and the food was decent enough. We particularly liked the vegetable spread plate (kind of like a mezze plate). The tomato-cucumber salad with walnut was nice and fresh. The bean stew and the bean stuffed bread were alright but not very memorable. All in all it is nice for one dinner particulary given the limited options in Kutaisi.

Perfect! - Edit
The absolute perfect way to start our trip in Georgia! We had a picture perfect meal here -- from amazing & interesting chats about Georgian wine with the owner, to super flavorful vegan pkhali & comforting khachapuri, to a really delicious pelamushi for dessert... Amazing! Would recommend with eyes closed! We really hope to revisit some day :)

Not recommended! poor vegan food and terrible service - Edit
Super disappointed!!! My partner and I are vegan, after consulting with the waiter regarding our dietary requirements we order veg soup, bean stew and Mexican potatoes.... all 3 dishes where served after a 30 minute wait and separately from each other, I watched my partner eat the soup, then I received my strew (which was cold from the fridge) then the potatoes last! even though there was only 1 other couple in the restaurant.
Read more- veg soup was salty water broth with 3 cherry tomatoes and a couple of pieces of broccoli and oil floating on the top... served with 3 stale slices of bread
- bean stew was ok, bland taste, but come cold and was returned to be heated as they forgot to warm it. The corn bread was inedible as it was rock hard.served with salted cabbage.
- Mexican potato, everywhere else in Georgia this is sautéed potatoes with onion and peppers, here it is fried potato wedges with 1 gherkin sliced through it with a mayonnaise dip! (Not vegan friendly!)
When we requested the bill they had charged us extra for a replacement bread for the hard, uneaten corn bread and 3.5 Gel for a tiny pot of ketchup!
We queried this and they just didn't say answer they just reproduced the bill accepting no charge for the ketchup!
They just try I think.... they took no responsibility for the fact they forgot to heat my dish and I had to wait again and eat separately from my partner!
Not recommended, there was chaos in the kitchen we could here 3-4 people constantly talking in loud voices.
By the time we left there was another 2 tables, one had their order taken twice then both times after 5-10 minutes where told it wasn't available and 1 where 1 person ate and the other person watched and waited for their food to arrive after 10 minutes.

Delicious - Edit
I got a lemonade and lobio (the bean stew) and it was amazing, a little bit spicy (I love it but in case you don’t), warm and filling. I wanted to try other things but I couldn’t even finish my dish. The cornbread is good if you like arepas 😁

As close to a vegan dream as possible in Kutaisi - Edit
We simply asked the waiter what to order as vegans and we ended up with a plate full of vegan pate's, bean stew with cornbread, bean stuffed bread, bread rolls (like garlic knots minus garlic or olive oil. Was simply scrumptious, especially the cold pate plate. Service perfect!

Awful. Really really awful - Edit
I hate to leave terrible reviews, but this was the worst food we ate on our entire trip. We had a ragout that was steam veg - not all local - seasoned perhaps with just salt. we had the saddest cornbread we are all trip - hard as rock, tasted like baking powder. The place just seems to be resting on a reputation that it may have deserved at some point. It was super busy but service was rude and disinterested. Diners looked as sad as us. Eat somewhere else - esp since the menu isn’t unique
