my favourite restaurant in holbox - Edit
to start, the owner is wonderful. hes very likeable and welcoming. love his little dog too who sleeps in the restaurant and the story of how he and rescued her. the food is incredible. i love the hummingbird infused tea in the grapefruit flavour. every time ive ordered the pinc jar, which is a banana - strawberry - coconut smoothie with chia pudding on the bottom and a beautiful assortment of fresh fruit on top. the fruit salad is also a rly delicious and fresh option. the vegan eggplant meatballs are just okay in my opinion though. i wouldnt order them alone but theyre good when they come with the vegan chopping board dish. i loved that. it comes with a massive assortment of savoury fruits, vegetables, and tofu. it also came with this rosemary bread tht was still warm. definitely something to share with the entire table. i wish we ordered this every time. thank u for all the delicious meals, cant wait to come back !!💗💗

The restaurant has various base options (toast, focaccia, bowl, etc) that you can mix with different vegetarian or vegan options. Amazing fruit juices and good pancakes! Also friendly staff and pleasant space.

Everything they make is fresh. The vegan smoothies looked so delicious and beautiful. The food looked so pretty I had to take pictures before I devoured it. Yum😋 I think I had the avocado toast also I don’t think my meal was extremely expensive compared to prices of eating out on holbox

Only issue we had was that the waiter wanted to add honey in my food and we had to tell her multiple times that we want agave and not honey.
But still amazing place and experience!
We left with a smile!

Make sure to come early or later in the day as very bust around 10 and you might have to wait a while for a table. So worth it tho some of the best vegan food we have had on the island. The waiters were so nice I was feeling quite sick and they helped me and made sure I was okay.

My foccaccia came without vegetables. They made a coffee I ordered vegan. It came with cow milk. Instead of a sorry, they told me that they bring me a new one but I have to pay both.

Sumptuous food in a paradise worthy setting - Edit
We had a salad and an avocado toast with extra zucchini balls and omg we got so filled up. The salad had loads of fresh toasted bread on the side and the toast had some side salad so basically whatever you order, you won't miss out on anything. The juice and iced coffee was delicious as well and literally all the waiters were extra mega friendly. The atmosphere is chill in a proper paradise sort of way with seashells hanging and Manu Chao playing in the background. A plus is the occasional doggo that's allowed in for added cuteness. The price is totally reasonable. Couldn't find any fault with this place, perhaps be mindful they only accept cash.

If I could rate this 5 stars, I would. We ate here 3 out of the 6 mornings we spent in Holbox. The fruit was incredibly fresh, the bowls were delicious and the drinks were amazing! The presentation was beyond beautiful. The staff are all very friendly, as is the owner Valero. We enjoyed it so much the only souvenir we took home from Holbox were two wooden spoons a from Painapol! 😆

Great food, many vegan options. The cappuccino tastes good, the food (we had Foccacia and Crostino) excellent and the portions are very lush / big. The staff speaks excellent English and is very friendly; We have explained the card and has been discussed on vegan diet. They even mentioned us (unsolicited) the ingredients of dressing. On a complaint was reacted immediately very friendly and customer-oriented. For Mexican circumstances not cheap, but Holbox is more expensive than the rest of Mexico. Clear recommendation, we would come back anytime😄Short waiting times are possible; Then there is a waiting list and you say, when you're about to come back.

As it is not very easy to get vegan food on Holbox, we were very happy to find this place with a lot of really good vegan options. The restaurant and the food is inspired by the Italian family who owns the place. We went there several times for breakfast, the vegan options are awesome and they serve a really good coffee. We also tried the place in the evening where they also have some good vegan options including a burger and a vegan plate.

Arrived here late morning on a Saturday and there was a line. They estimated a 45 minute wait and we just put our names in and walked around a bit.
Read moreThey have a nice variety of vegan items in the menu but. Not all are marked so be sure to ask if you see something that looks good. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and happy to answer questions about their vegan options. This was refreshing and re-assuring.
The first thing our server said was “all our breads are vegan” and I was stoked. I Had the focaccia and they let you sub avocado or a veg for the cheese. It came with a side of really nice cauliflower on a bed of salad. Also added some eggplant veggie meatballs which were sooo good.

Such a cute place with nice staff. I went twice in the 5 days I was in Holbox. The smoothie bowl was huuuuge, super filling and fresh. Great value for money compared to other places offering smoothie bowls. The avocado toast with vegan zucchini meatballs was really nice too. They have a lot of vegan options, so I would definitely recommend going here.
