A pleasant surprise in a wonderful island

This is the best place where vegans can have dinner in Stromboli. The staff was very positive into discussing the vegetarian options to be made vegan when reserving. I had a nice antipasto with 2 vegan 'crostoni' (burned bread, bruschetta-like): one served with aubergines and fresh tomatoes, and the other with 'friarelli' (broccoli-sprouts) and sun-dried tomatoes. As a first, the chef made an excellent pasta with the souce of the day: in this case the aubergines and tomatoes one. As main course, I had a tasty farinata (chickpea flour-made, pancake-like, typical from the north of Italy) sided by roasted courgettes. The place is excellent also if you have kids: my little one enjoyed her tomato pasta and the farinata with courgettes.

Cons: Still isn't a vegan restaurant, Expensive as the whole island, Can be busy, so go early!
