Food LOOKS good - Edit
1. The vegan cheese is just bad.
Read more2. I think you can find something cheaper with a better taste, just less fancy. The taste just isn't worth the price.
3. The drinks are good enough, worth the price.
Cons: VEGAN CHEESE IS SO BAD LIKE SO BAD

Pricey for what it is - Edit
I was surprised to find a vegan restaurant in this part of town. But for the kind of food it is, I felt like the prices were a bit high. I’m not sure if all of their ingredients are organic, but that would partially justify the premium.
Read moreI ordered the stir-fried udon set meal, which was good but greasy. The chayote shoots (龍鬚菜) with sesame sauce that came as one of the included side dishes was my favorite savory item. The gyoza were not anything to write home about. Their triangular shape was pretty unique but harder to eat. The brownie was not bad, but I could’ve gone for a richer chocolate flavor and more moisture. I wasn’t a fan of the included “cookie”, which was more of a savory cracker and tasted like something so healthy that I could fuel myself to run 10 km immediately afterwards.
They do accept Green Point app (iOS at https://apps.apple.com/us/app/環保集點-green-point-新版/id1457639351 or Android at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.GpConsumerMobile.Plus&hl=zh_TW and enter my referral code when signing up to get 2,000 points for free: 7AC4F6) vouchers, and I used three NT$100 vouchers, which softened the blow.
I’m a glutton for punishment, so I also bought a pint of vegan ice cream to take home: NT$330 for the Uji matcha flavored one.
Pros: all vegan, varied flavors, wide selection of desserts
Cons: expensive, many cakes require 2 days’ notice

日式風味的(蔬)素食館 - Edit
一間在巷弄內口味不錯的(蔬)素食店,店標榜(無蛋,無奶)素食料理,食材保留著原味,醬料清爽可口,服務不錯。

Good vegan restaurant if you crave for some Japanese food 🍜 - Edit
Read more in this vegan Taipei guide: https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-taipei-guide/ Located on the south side of Taipei, Original Vegan is a Japanese restaurant with a minimalist ambience. The menu has Japanese classics like ramen, curry, tempura, hot pots and more. They also have a rather wide range of desserts like cakes, mochi and tiramisu. You place your order on the ordering sheet and pay at the counter before the meal. The food is nice quality with big portions. I especially like the tofu ball which is pan-fried and made with a mix of tofu and veggies. For drinks, ordering the small size would be enough for one person. The large size comes in a pot which I struggled to finish by myself. However, the soy milk ramen is not as impressive with a mild broth and only a few pieces of simple toppings. The restaurant also has a shop section selling snacks and other vegan items. They also sometimes have organic veggies on sale. Overall Original Vegan is a good choice if you are craving for some Japanese cuisine.

Great food and atmosphere - Edit
Been dying to find some vegan ramen and wasn’t disappointed. They don’t have an English menu but they do have pictures. Our lunch included a free slice of chocolate cake and they let us sample cookies. They also sell produce and some sauces. Will definitely go back!

Average - Edit
In fact, I expected better quality of food & service from this restaurant as the place was full when I entered the restaurant. Service was below average, and the ramen tasted awful. I couldn't even finish it.. (although the ramen looks delicious in the photo). Even the gyoza, looked good but tasted not so tasty to be honest. I do wish I'd have left a better review but I just can't..

Amazing vegan food and cute market - Edit
Entrees come in set menu form, we had the ramen, curry noodles and mushroom rice. They were all amazing. What I really loved were the appetizers. The rice ball is a must try! Fried tofu and gyoza (jian jiao) was amazing as well. I also ordered the matcha latte (vegan) and it was so so good. We thought a walk in would be okay but the wait was more than two hours. Definitely call in advance! And they mentioned they provide vegan cooking classes!

Absolutely love their ramen - Edit
This place serves great ramen, tempura, rice, and desserts. I suggest ordering the combo meal so you get to try different things in moderation. The portion sizes are big, the prices are affordable, and the owners are super friendly. They were vegetarian and turned vegan out of their love for animals and peace, which is great!

Cons: there's not much around in the area
