Best Food Truck in Los Angeles

I have tried everything on the menu and I love it all! My favorite thing to eat is the bucket of chicken and fries with a few dipping sauces. Check out my video review

Best Vegan chicken

This is the best Vegan fried chicken I've ever tasted. Everything about it looks like real chicken. We had the large order. The chicken is stripes and comes in a bucket with fries. It's worth the wait if there's a line.

Find the truck and go to it

The truck goes all over but mostly far away so take advantage of it when it’s in your neighborhood.

Pros: Super good food., Really authentic and delicious

Cons: The bucket is filled with hidden tots not chicken, No free ketchup despite the fact they, stuff you with fries and tots.

Phish and Chickn

The piece of chicken was so big it was not fully cooked and inside literally looked like a loaf of bread. The banana blossom fish was super salty and the inside texture was slimy. The only thing that was good were the frozen pre-made fries.

Cons: uncooked, salty

In the Pack

Original Omnivore were swimming upstream at Long Beach Jazz Festival, surrounded by BBQ, fried fish, fried chicken stands. I wasn't really that hungry but wanted to patronize them for being there with their "Vegan Fried Chicken" sign. I ordered the Reuben sandwich (sietan). It was a large, messy, good sandwich with an order of fries. I was told they frequent the Long Beach area.

Pros: All vegan, good variety, biodegradable packaging

Cons: A little pricy, as trendy food trucks are

SUPER AWESOME Best Vegan Burger EVER!!!

I saw the Original Herbivore truck at the 2019 Hermosa Beach festival and ordered the Bit@#'in Burger. There was light rain that day, but the food was so amazing that I happily ate my Bit@#' burger in the rain. That burger truly lives up to the name. I have never tasted a better vegan burger. I was wowed by the kimchi, pretzel bun and extras. The food was so good I just couldn't leave without getting the vegan fried chicken & fries for dinner. And yes, it was more deliciousness. My fav was the Bit@#' burger. Other vegan burgers don't even compare. I couldn't stop talking about it; I told ALL my friends. I can't wait to eat their food again, even if I have to drive to Long Beach. I also appreciate the friendly staff who took the time to explain the ingredients.

Decent food.

This truck offers some pretty decent meals, but the wait time is ridiculous (waited over 20 minutes) and the execution was a bit sloppy. It tasted decent, but I could have done the same or better at home. After waiting so long the burger was just thrown together. The owners were dismissive and a bit rude when asked about the wait time.

Pros: Decent amount of options, Decent tasting burger.

Cons: Unorganized, service needs to be streamlined., Better prep and execution would improve taste.

Creative Cuisine!

You wouldn't expect such originality and creativity from a food truck, but Original Herbivore does it in style. The Banh Mi and Reuben are must trys. Another wonderful addition to the burgeoning San Diego vegan food scene!
