My whole family (including non-vegans) and I were SO happy here. The standout dishes were the penne and the Caesar salad. Veggie burger was also tasty and really unique. Outside seating was lovely. Flavorful and fresh food. Great service.

Good food - Edit
All vegan restaurant with not that big of a menu, but all great options. The food was very good, the ambiance could be cosier.
Read moreFor starters we ordered the pates - olives&walnuts (favorite), tofu&basil and peanut&apple, rice bread (addictive), and the caprese salad (super nice to see a vegan caprese salad as it isn't frequent in vegan restaurants). The main dishes vary each day and when I went there I chose the "meatballs" that had 3 sides - carrot rice, yogurt salad, and green salad. Really liked the freshness, the diversity of ingredients and the flavors.

Organic Excellence…! - Edit
When we were in Lisbon, we couldn’t resist checking out the vegan spots on Happy Cow. One of the top-rated restaurants we found was Organi Chiado, which is just a short walk from our place in the Bairro-Alto. So, we decided to go for lunch and see what all the fuss was about!
Read moreThe place was already packed when we got there, but the inside had a cool, sophisticated vibe. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Of course, all that sightseeing had made us thirsty, so we started with a couple of super cold Super Bocks.
For our main course, we shared an appetizer of bread and pâtés. Oh my gosh, the spreads were amazing! There were three different ones: Basil Tofu, Olives-Walnut, and Peanut Butter-Apple. All of them were delicious, but the Basil Tofu was my favorite. It was so refreshing and smooth, and it was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before — not made out of tofu, anyway.
Organi Chiado has two different specials that change (I believe) every day, and on our first visit, we both couldn’t resist the Braised Tofu (served with lime rice, a side salad, and tempura veggie crisp). It was incredible! Hands down, the best food we’d had up to that point. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable, considering how fancy the place was.
We left feeling totally satisfied and made a mental note to come back to Chiado Organi soon. But guess what? The very next day, we went to another vegan restaurant that was a total disaster. We were so hungry and disappointed that we ran straight back to Organi to save the day! (This time around, again, we shared a larger order of the bread and pâtés; I did cheesy penne pasta; Jay the lasagna. And, too, we shared a pecan pie with house-made ice cream. O.M.G…!!!) And not only did it save us, but we also got to catch up with our friend from the day before, which was really nice.
Simply awesome!!!
Pros: Food!!!, Service!!!, Anbiance!!!
Cons: Loved it ALL…!!!

OMG!! - Edit
If you’re a vegan or not, you’ll absolutely love Organi Chiado! The food is fresh, bursting with flavor, and totally plant-based. I’ve been there twice now and had two incredible mains. The first time, I had lunch and started with the Bread and Pate. It was amazing! The pate had three different flavors: basil and tofu, olive and walnut tapenade, and apple and peanut. I ordered the same thing the next time, but this time I got the larger size. For my main, I tried the daily special, which was Braised Tofu with Sweet Potato, rice, and tempura chard leaf. The braised tofu was delicious, but the sweet potato mash was incredible. It had a hint of wasabi that really took the flavors to the next level. The second time, I went for dinner and ordered the special of the day, which was Lasagna. It was another amazing flavor combination. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they always seem to know exactly what to recommend. The inside of the restaurant is bright and charming. I’ll definitely be going back to Organi soon because it’s just that good!

Really good! - Edit
Went to organi chiado for my birthday and loved the food! Good portion and the flavour was really good ! All they poured a nice , strong gin (😁 for those who enjoy it). I was really full , so didn't try a dessert, but will come back soon. Definitely recommend. Price is quite cheap for a vegan restaurant in downtown Lisbon.

Traditional bean stew - Edit
I enjoyed the traditional bean stew, contains a chunk of each of three types of sausage and bits of chickn, served with rice, rocket salad, roast yam, red onion and pear. Blackberry cheesecake to take away. All good tasting. Texture of the sausage was gooshy, and the texture of the cheesecake was not what I expect for a cheesecake. Good bottle of local, vegan stout.

Delicious, but nothing special - Edit
At first I didn't feel so welcome. I was seated at a table and had to call up the menu on my cell phone. The ambience and atmosphere were rather cool in my opinion. However, the menu offers a good selection. I had the soup of the day (cauliflower) and the Caesar salad. Both were delicious, but nothing special. Wines are only available by the bottle, with two exceptions.

Spectacular - Edit
One of the better vegan meals I’ve ever had. I found Organi Chiado via Happy Cow. The restaurant is along a flight of stairs, and features both outdoor and indoor seating. Like a lot of other restaurants in Lisbon they’ve gone with paperless menus, and we found their WiFi to be a bit wonky. I ordered a lot of starters- their rice bread, (vegan) cheese, olives and nachos (tortilla chips and guacamole). The bread and cheese stole the show, although the guacamole was good. (They should make their own chips though!!!) For my main I went with the “steak”, which was as good a fake meat main as I’ve had. Steak is obviously a tough one to get right, pun intended.

Okay - Edit
Been in various vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Lisbon for at least 100 times in last 10 years during yearly visits and was quite excited to finally visit this place due to excellent reviews.
Read moreWhile it was okay, I did expect more. Food was okay, not excellent, portion size and quality were average and while service was extremely fast and friendly, whole concept of this restaurant is bit generic like unfortunately many of the new vegetarian restaurants in Lisbon.
Again, its not that this restaurant is not good as it is okay but it just lacks the charisma, passion and soul and serves okay food for premium price.
Also it seems food is heated instead of actually cooked when ordering which does add to price not being correct.

A really great vegan restaurant - so good we went 3 times in our week's visit to Lisbon.
Read moreSituated very close to Baixa-Chaido Metro. There's the option to sit inside, or outside on the steps.
The menu had a good selection, the food was delicious & tastey (we tried the chana dhaal curry, lentil curry, caesar salad, and burger mains) and very well presented. The portion sizes were very good too.
There were plenty of staff, and they were friendly and attentive, so service was also very good.
Prices were also very reasonable costing around Euro 15 per person for a drink, main and dessert course.
There are other really good vegan restaurants in Lisbon, but this was our favourite.
