Lacks taste and presentation - Edit
I love Thai food, so coming here and ordering the Panang curry was quite the disappointment. The veggies were not cooked. The effort in the dish seemed minimal as the coconut milk was even mixed in. Taste was not anything close to what it’s supposed to taste like. I’m usually pretty generous when I give readings and this just was not close.

The service was terrible. The food was sub par. Would not recommend. We asked to add broccoli. They forgot and were very nonchalant about it. Then we asked for lime and hot flakes and they didn't bring it out till we were pretty much done with our food... he actually didn't bring the hot flakes at all. The quality of the was not very good either.

I had the panang curry w/ tofu, and the fried tofu appetizer, both so yummy. cute outdoor seating area and really friendly staff!

This is our second time here and both food and service were amazing. Definitely my favorite in South Tahoe.

Best food, best service, best portions! Everything about Orchid’s is amazing. You can never go wrong with any dish! They have a huge portion called veggie lovers on the menu in addition to having daily specials of different curry and veggie dishes!

Locals favorite but... - Edit
I always get different information regarding vegan options here and what has and doesn’t have fish sauce. So I really don’t trust them at this point. There is better Thai in town. The food is usually okay to good but just okay for Thai in general. The place is also a little dirty with sticky menus.

Not Bad... Middle Of The Road - Edit
Food was OK. Service was with a smile. On the food front could do better. Rama jae felt like a sweet sauce, not as much of a yellow curry, but the spinach was awesome!

Terrific Thai in Tahoe! - Edit
After a nice (but) tiring day on the slopes, just about anything vegan sounded good. What a nice surprise when our hotel (a cool little eco-one at that 986 Park) recommended Orchids Thai - well worth the few mile drive. They had a vegetarian section and some different items on it. A relief to see the words "no fish sauce" on the menu! They also had brown rice. Chose a seat away from the fish tank and enjoyed our spring rolls, peanut tofu and curry dish we had. Fast and friendly. Would return.
