Serves meat, vegan options available. Thai food restaurant. The chef/owner is knowledgeable veg/vegan diet and will make a dish vegan with tofu and vegetable and omit fish sauce, etc. A few of the desserts are vegan suitable. Atmosphere is spacious and inviting despite being on the lower level. Stone walls are adorned with paintings of orchids. Prevously Orchidea Comida Thai, new name reported July 2017. Open Mon-Sun 1:00pm-1:00am.

There is a pharmacy a minute walk which has an ATM. Turn right out the front door and it will be on your right in a minute

Delicious and accommodating! - Edit
Don’t be fooled by the online menu others have posted. The staff and chef were very accommodating to our low fat vegan diet. We also had two gluten free people in our crowd. The chef came out and went over all the options. They said we could pretty much order anything on the menu and they would make it vegan. The food turned out delicious and not oily at all! Would give it five stars if I could.

Wish I could give this place 5 stars. The food was delicious and authentic, extremely easy to make almost anything vegan and the owner and her family are amazing. 10/10 recommend

Again, as Lima502 very dissapointed see 'vegan options' on HappyCow and get to the restaurant and found nothing.
Read moreThey made me the Cashew plate without the sauce, because was the only they can make with no animal. They offered me the Pad Thai with no sauce at all.
It was tasty and big portion, but nothing I can not make at home.
Pros: Nice atmosphere.Staff really friendly except one.
Cons: Expensive for the quality you get.

Went in anticipation of an amazing meal due to the reviews I read. My dish was cold and my dinner dates was flavorless. When I mentioned it to the waiter he said it was because we ordered vegan food.

The ambience, the music, the decoration, everything is on point. The staff is super friendly, so is the woman singing. We had zero problems finding what to eat, we just mentioned we were vegan and didn't need to explain further! The food was incredibly delicious, I am going there every time I come to San Miguel De Allende. Loved it to bits, the doggy Momo was precious.

The waiters were very polite but not very knowledgeable about the food. I ordered some falafels (fried 😕) only because it was one of the two vegan dishes. The waiter looked annoyed at me and made me feel bad with her attitude. Then a different waiter brought me the plate and he said it was meat and freaked me out. I told him that the other waiter had told me it was vegan and he was like "oh no, yeah sorry, it's vegan". It wasn't very reassuring. At the end when I had finished my small meal, I asked if they had any vegan desserts because the website said so and the waiter said "NO" very rudely. Also, there was so much traffic, it took us around 30 minutes to get there and we weren't even that far.

Great vegan Thai food - Edit
Owner and manager personally assured us that the meals would be vegan. They clearly understood what that was as well. They bent over backwards to make us feel comfortable and that our views were respected. Both of our dishes, red curry with tofu, and drunken noodles with tofu were excellent. We had a yummy fried banana with a vegan chocolate sauce. Will definitely seek out this restaurant when we return to SMA.
