Vegan

Unlabeled vegan options, and unclear on what vegan means - Edit

I ate here earlier tonight. It was not initially on my list of places in Lewiston to check out, since I didn't see any vegan options on the menu. After our first choice wound up not working out, though, we wound up here.

I asked if any of the dishes could be made vegan, and my server assured me that they could. They told me to ask about any specific dishes that I was interested in, and they would confirm whether or not it could be made vegan.

I wound up choosing the pad thai, which they confirmed could be prepared vegan. They even went over what would be included in the sauce, so I thought it was safe.

When my dish arrived, it had egg in it. I unfortunately did not realize this until I took a bite. I went over to my server to confirm that egg had been added to my dish, to which they responded affirmatively. They offered to remake my dish without egg, and it came out much faster than it had the first time.

I triple checked that the dish was actually vegan this time, and when I ate it, the taste was fine (and it was indeed egg free this time around).

I hate to leave a negative review, but this experience was very disheartening. If anyone is considering eating here in the future, I advise you to go through the whole shpiel (no meat, no seafood, no egg, no dairy, no fish sauce, no oyster sauce) instead of taking a server at their word when they tell you that something here is vegan.

vegan pho!! - Edit

i had to ask the waiter about the vegan options because the menu is unlabelled and he was very helpful. i got the noodle soup with tofu added on and it was so yummy! literally ate the entire thing even though i thought i wld just take a few bites. so so good. wish they had more vegan options and a dessert, too. one day maybe!!
