Vegetarian cafe in kibbutz Ma'aleh HaHamisha, west of Jerusalem. Set in a greenhouse; half of it is used as a restaurant and the other half an orchid nursery. Has vegan dishes such as truffle and mushroom pizza, pastas and salads. Most of the dishes can be adapted to be made vegan. Open Mon-Thu 8:00am-11:00pm, Fri 8:00am-3:00pm, Sun 8:00am-11:00pm. Closed Sat.

Impressive Location, Disappointing Menu - Edit
This is an absolutely beautiful setting in the Jerusalem hills, and the service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the menu is not really vegan-friendly, as there are no specifically vegan dishes, only intensive dairy dishes, which they're willing to make vegan by simply leaving off the cheese, etc. They don't even have vegan cheese or substitutes like tofu or seitan. While my dish was tasty, this is not appealing to me, especially as the prices are not cheap. I won't be back until they make more of an effort.
