Why is this place even marked as having vegan options on Happy Cow, there is literally nothing without animals here??😒

Good couple of options - Edit
Their menu is extensive but their vegan options are very limited. But with that being said, their tofu dish is absolutely amazing. I’ve had it several times and it never disappoints. They also have great fries!

Great options and great service - Edit
As a Salemite I enjoy going to Opus. Many of their meals can be vegan/ vegetarian and they have a value packed wine list. My husband and I often head over here when we need a night out.

High end atmosphere, great for a mixed group! - Edit
While Opus' menu in person & online seems to be a little inconsistent when it comes to what is and isn't vegan, they make up for it with AWESOME service. We mentioned we were vegan to our waiter and he didn't hesitate to tell us EVERYTHING we could eat and even what we could easily veganize. My husband got the falafel, the waiter said that the chef can easily make us a vegan sauce to replace the feta & tzatziki sauce. I got the massaman & coconut curry tofu, which I would seriously consider as a last meal before a death penalty. Just beautiful. I can't overemphasize the ambiance of Opus..so warm, inviting and always a-buzz with activity and laughter. AND an underground club???? Sign me UP.

Great option for upscale bar/bar snacks - Edit
Opus is a nice upscale bar with interesting drink options. They have a few vegan options (which are pretty overpriced), but nothing substantial. Their menu does have a “v” symbol but it is vegetarian not vegan. The bartender was really knowledgeable about how to veganize different dishes however. We ordered the hot n sweet peppers, falafel(which needs substitution to be vegan) and two drinks. I really liked the peppers which were basically a handful of chili peppers deep fried and tossed in sauce. They were good but super overpriced, we were actually joking about it. The falafel was okay, not traditional but the hummus that we got instead of the tzatziki was phenomenal. The drinks were great. Overall we paid a similar bill for a nice meal out in exchange for a few snacks, but we had a great time. We loved the atmosphere more than anything. I would recommend grabbing a couple drinks here and heading down the street to another spot for food. If you’re looking for a quick meal to go try boston hot dog co.
