In the afternoon there's high tea with cakes. Sake, beer and wine available. Chef owned, English is spoken. Lunchtime can be very busy, so reservations are advised. We have been Travelling in Japan for 3 weeks and have tried few vegan restaurants and this has been top of our list. Flavors were amazing and presentation was perfect.

Buonissimo ma attenzione al dolce 🤦🏻♀️ - Edit
Ottimo cibo e personale gentile.

Cute little cafe - Edit
We had the tasting menu (I can’t remember the exact name, but it was the one where you get to try a bit of everything) along with some desserts. The lunch was good, especially the vegan meat, but the prices on the high side. The food was ready quite fast. Overall, the food was nice but not particularly memorable.
Read moreWhat surprised us was the dessert policy: we wanted to try two slices of cake, but were told we could only eat them in if we also ordered drinks; otherwise, it had to be takeaway. We had already eaten our meals there and didn’t feel like having drinks, so we took the cakes to go.

Just delicious - Edit
I had the vegan delight and some karaage and a plum wine. Everything was delicious, i could not pick a favourite. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. I strongly recommend paying this place a visit when you are in Nara. The portion sizes are a bit smaller so that it might be a bit more expensive than other restaurants you could have been to in the Osaka area. For all of the above I paid ¥4.840 (27,30€ at the time) but worth every penny.

Delightful - Edit
Lovely atmosphere, great service, and good food. I had the vegan delight platter and Wakoucha Japanese black tea. I also took a slice of fig cake to go for later. Everything was really good!

Best karaage - Edit
I've had karaage 3 times so far on Japan, this is the best place for me! The red peppers tasted delicious, unlike I've had before. The homemade cola was also refreshing and fragrant.

Pros: Jolie assiette colorée, Kombusha maison, Personnel sympa
Cons: Petites quantités, Rapport quantité/prix, Peu de saveurs hormis le tofu.

Amazing Vegan Karaage! - Edit
Very juicy Karaage with satiating rice bed.
Read moreBoth the “Vegan Delight” platter (where you get a bit of everything) and the “Shojin Karaage Bowl” were great.
Although we think the Karaage was so good, we’d opt for that twice next time.
The interior of the restaurant is very cute and has a very pleasant atmosphere; but we took the order to go because they were closing up.

What a lovely place. It is a bit out of the way but it was delicious and so relaxing. I had the karaage bowl, which was divine. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Recommend!

Little gem - Edit
Found this place on Happy Cow while staying in Nara. Having subsisted on a green burger and countless tofu sticks from 7-11, it was quite a treat to have a menu to choose from. I went for the veggie delight (a bit of everything) and it was truly delicious! Every element was freshly cooked. It is a small place with a compact kitchen, so each meal is cooked to order and might arrive at the table at different times, but that was part of its charm.
Read moreThere is a fridge full of homemade desserts to choose from along with a selection of parfaits and shaved ice. I went for the tarte au chocolat and my children has the watermelon and fig parfait (from the special menu) and everything was delicious.
The restaurant is a bit hidden away and accessed through what looks like a gap in the fence but Google maps finds it easily.
Pros: Cosy, relaxed vibe, Fresh cooked, tasty food, Delicious desserts

Little bit out of the way but so worth it - Edit
This place has a good vibe, friendly owners and above all the food was delicious. Especially the kaarage was the best I have had in Japan. Definitely a must visit.

A bit disorganized but cute - Edit
Nice cafe, the interiors are really nice. A bit small place but gives wonderful vibe. The entrance is hard to find and it is not located in picturesque area. The food is really good, and not that pricey, but the service seemed understaffed, overwhelmed. I was hoping to get Kakigori but I received just ball of strawberry ice cream and I was told that they have not started with kakigori yet (but no one told me about it when I ordered kakigori and it was only written in Japanese menu). (Ofc they cancelled my dessert, but this shows the level of miscommunication)

The other things on the menu and the caked looked good too.
The restaurant is very small and kind of cramped but not in an negative way.
The service was very slow though.

Cute little place for great food - Edit
I came by here before taking the train back home from Nara Station. It is maybe a ten minute walk into a neighborhood. So you have to look for the sign as it will be kind of hidden. The ladies helped me make a choice between all the different food on the menu. It is definitely a healthy place that has lots of vegan & gluten free options!

Beautiful strawberry tart - Edit
Enjoyed the karaage but the definite highlight was the strawberry tart. The most expensive place we’ve eaten in Japan, but worth the money and the walk from the deer park. Also enjoyed sitting on the floor to eat!

Very good - Edit
Always a good option when in Nara. Easy access from JR Nara Station.
Read moreThe food is good, but I feel tho the quality decreased a bit over the years. I feel the plate is quite expensive for what you get now. The oriental plate had mainly fried stuff and mostly cold veggies. For the price of 2400yen, I would expect at least a soup. But it's a tourist spot, so it can't be helped.

Cute cafe serving delicious food - Edit
A cute little establishment tucked away in a side road in Nara. I dropped by for lunch during my visit to the city. I got the vegan delight which was a platter with all the different dishes they have to offer. Everything was really tasty and the ladies who served me were lovely. I really wanted to try out a cake but I was full from the lunch. Maybe next time!🤩 #Veganuary
