Beautiful vegan friendly menu - Edit
Omar's is always an amazing experience. There are a lot of vegan and raw options on the menu. Can get pricey if you order too much like we always do. But well worth it.

Many vegetarian/vegan options - clearly marked and understood - Edit
This place was amazing! Despite a bit of a wait to get our table ready, everything else was great! The restaurant is quirky with cool artwork and zen like furnishings.
Read moreThe server was very well trained and lovely. When I told her that I had so many dietary restrictions, despite being busy, she actually took the time to bring out a whole book with all the dishes in the restaurant and checked each one to see if it could be made with my gluten free, dairy free, sugar free restrictions.
The food was beautiful both to look at and taste. We ate the seaweed roll, coconut curry rice, cauliflower delight, falafel burger, vegan tacos, It was fresh, healthy and tasty. The portions were good sized. I wish we had one of these in Atlanta. We really enjoyed our meal!
Pros: lot of vegan options - totally understand veg food, great service

Terrific selection of items, great food and service - Edit
We were heading to church for a memorial service, and Rawtopia was a convenient stop. Although we prefer all vegan places, the menu looked so enticing, we went for it.
Read moreWow. Rawtopia far exceeded my expectations, and we agreed it was the best meal we had ever had in Salt Lake (frequent visitors).
Intriguing flavors, everything fresh and tasty. The staff could not have been more welcoming, and the service was excellent. I will be back.

Super delicious feel-good food - Edit
This was our first time here and we loved it! Can’t believe we waited so long to try it! We had the Little Cauliflower Delight & Raw Taco Salad, both of which were incredible! The menu is huge with tons of drink, dessert, appetizer & entree options. Menu is vastly vegan, and mostly raw with some dishes optional to request cooked. The atmosphere and view is great, too. You could spend some time here and really enjoy yourself. Will 100% be going back!

Second time here and it’s amazing. I’d give it a 5-star if the app allowed it. The selection is amazing and the creativity is incredible. The flavor combinations are delicious. The feel is an upscale bistro, service is top notch. You won’t be disappointed!

Raw is good and a lot of work - Edit
We called ahead at 12:15 on a Thursday and ordered the Raw Taco Salad and Seaweed Rolls. We were told 15-20 min, however it took 40 min. Something to keep in mind if you are on a time crunch at lunch.
Read moreThe Taco Salad was tasty, hitting all the Mexican flavors with a slight hint of spice. The salad only comes in one size and was plenty to split. It was so filling for the two of us, we have saved the Roll for later.
It is pricey, and if you have ever made raw food you can appreciate all the love and time that goes into the preparation and understand the pricing.
They have an outdoor patio, which is great for nice days.
Pros: Raw dishes , Cooked dishes, Outdoor seating

5 Star Place - Edit
If the restaurant was full vegan, it would receive 5 stars. It doesn’t let me give anything more than 4. We had our first experience there this last weekend and we will definitely be back. It is well worth the visit.

Rawtopia - Edit
I originally ordered online & the food was phenomenal (dandelion salad/falafel burger/baba ganoush), all killer. I then took some of my non vegan family to their Sunday brunch, we arrived about 10:30 sat immediately & waited about 10 min to get a menu. It appeared there was one person waiting on the two preexisting tables. I ordered 5 things from the menu (bc hello brunch), while the rest of my party ordered 1 thing. My boyfriend & my sister's husband were both still hungry after. Then we learned from the bill they charged us $2 for hot sauce I asked for. I should have kept the bottle! I really wanted to try the chocolate cake but after they charged my bf $6 for a medium bowl of plain romaine (he ordered it because he thought it would have other stuff tossed in), I felt too guilty at the money I spent.

Great Value and Always Has Been - Edit
This is a one-of-a-kind restaurant in SLC. No other place that I have been to has this level of quality and care put into the meals, and I have felt that way for a long time. The point of it is to offer very tasty food with a healthy twist. The price matches the organic and fresh ingredients, and well-designed food. I have been coming here for years and I really appreciate how unique and personal it is. (I would give 5* gladly if it would let me).

This is a tasty place to eat. It’s a great vegan option. It is a bit pricey, around $20 a plate but it’s great food, a nice, new, modern building and I feel worth the money for a great experience.

Disappointed with high price. Also very salty. - Edit
I had the African stew which was tasty but should have been priced around $9-11. After paying $16 for a lunch and getting very thirsty from the high sodium content a bit later, I questioned whether I want to go back.

Outstanding - Edit
Outstanding. I was sitting there eating the appetizer wondering when I could come back. I seriously wanted to try everything on the menu. So fresh, healthy and filling! There are no bad choices and the place is lovely. The atmosphere is calm but full of happiness. The view is great and its clean lines make relaxing easy. I had the burrito, which is a lettuce wrap/cracker dip platter....you'll have to just get one to understand because I didn't take any time to get a picture. I wanted to have dessert, but alas, no room this time. The man had a chai tea thing made from some nut milk/non-dairy deliciousness. I can't say enough good about this place. I left feeling happy and healthy. Best experience I've ever had at a restaurant like this.

Observations.. - Edit
I read the last person's review and of course it would be awesome if it were entirely plant-based; BUT! I looked at their menu online and the two items i found with animal products were a bison burger and a salmon dish, and about half the menu was still raw. I don't wish suffering upon any entity but i also feel plants are able to suffer and in my personal opinion, it is always best for a person to do what they feel they should in this life, and if you're going to eat animal products, salmon, honey, and bison are some of the healthiest choices. Why not see if the vegan food is just as good? I bet is made with just as much love as before!

Bad news - Edit
I am super sad to report that, when this restaurant reopens in its new location, not only will it no longer be raw, it will also no longer be vegan. Apparently since the owner is no longer vegan or raw, he will be serving meat.
Read moreThey are supposed to still have some raw and vegan options, but we can't be assured as before that the energy of animal products being prepared and served in the same place will not be present.
A sad and disappointing transition from such a formerly fantastic and high-vibrational establishment.
Cons: No longer raw or veg
omarsrawtopia
We will have the exact same menu, but we are adding two new dishes for our dinner menu: wild Alaskan salmon, and grass fed bison. Saturdays and Sundays for brunch we will be serving local cage-free organic eggs, with the rest of our all vegan menu, no DAIRY.
Read moreWe are also adding some cooked vegan dishes, coffee (w/ house made nut milk), cold pressed organic juices, local/organic beer/wine, all raw vegan ice-cream and desserts... I hope this helps, sorry to offend the Vegan community, but i wanted to have a place for everyone! Rawtopia prides in its dedication to provide the highest quality, organic, local, non-GMO, and gluten free products available and exclusively uses low temperature to preserve vital enzymes and nutrients. Cheers!!!!

Ah, man! I really loved this place. Not to say I wouldn't go there any longer, but I much rather support a business that has a full vegan menu. Dollars are just as good as ballots; my vote is definitely vegan. Oh well, there's still "buds!"

Here's the thing. Meat eaters CAN eat vegan food, but it doesn't go the other way. Anyone would have been able to eat at Omar's with their formerly all-vegan menu. Something tells me that he caved to make more money. Truly sad.
