Somewhere with something vegan in Kurdistan - and good too! - Edit
This, it has to be admitted, would not normally be my kind of place. Or at least the location, deep in the new estates of the elite. We went because ramen are the favourite food of my companion, and I was pleasantly surprised - nay, astonished - that there should be not one but two vegan things on the menu. I had the tofu and avocado salad, which was exactly that - raw tofu, avocado - with some sesame-seeded soy sauce. Simple, but nice, and a generous portion. I also had the Japanese spinach fried in sesame, which had a good umami flavour cut through with fried garlic. It was a lovely meal, and the place is lovely, if you like that kind of thing: spacious, minimalist aesthetic, highly designed, even if I couldn't help but notice that the bonsai were plastic. A great alternative: keep it up your sleeve for when you really can't face any more falafel and want to reward yourself.
