Delicious food, relaxed vibes - Edit
Loved the food here. I had the crispy tofu burger and my wife had the Peruvian fried rice. Both were excellent. Wish we could return but we only have one night in Lima!

Not in the nicest neighbourhood and just a simple place but menu has something for everyone. The tequeños had very little filling so we didn't enjoy these much, but the hongos y papas fritas and spaghetti in huancaina sauce with champignons (I don't remember the names of the dishes) were great. Everything was freshly prepared.

Amazing cakes - Edit
Cute place but running on their own time haha. Opens at 10am but not really open yet. The tofu burger was incredible and the full burger was okay, would have liked more flavours. The cakes omg, wow, absolutely amazing! I would like to come later in the day and try other things on their menu.

Read moreThe Seitan was quite nice and also a little bit chewy, just like its meaty counterpart. The tofu was a little boring and dry, could’ve used more flavor; the fries were nice and the salchicha as well although maybe a little bland. The shawarma was flavor wise not too bad either although it really just tasted like a wrap, not like an actual shawarma with its usual spices. Would return to try more and to satisfy my junk-food cravings since they have a lot of crispy stuff too.

For the burger, nuggets and hot dog lovers, this is the place for you. The prices are quite good and they have several options. I took the bistec seitan plate with plátano and fries. It was good, but I missed veggies. I guess I’m more of a whole foods kind of vegan now 😅 . Anyways the red velvet was also quite good. Unfortunately, the icing is not the classic cream cheese icing and I didn’t care for the vegetable shortening and sugar icing, but the cake itself was nice and moist.

Please don’t let the look of this place deceive you. The food is best vegan I’ve had in Lima. (This is my third day and have tried a few top rated ones). I’m also surprised by their set menu prices!

This restaurant is rather small (6 or 7 tables); but the menu is quite diverse.

There's also a daily menu which is a very good value.
When I visited, they happened to have anticuchos.
I found them very good and generous.
As dessert, I had a half-rice pudding, half-purple mazamorra.
All-in-all, a nice place for enjoying vegan versions of traditional creole Peruvian food.

The staff is extremely friendly. The menu del dia is cheap and the portions are huge. We really liked the burger patty but the huge amount of rice and pasta was a bit boring after a while. The starters were very nice as well. I think we need to come back for their specialty: burgers (and maybe we will give them 5 stars for the burgers). We bought a slice of cake para llevar and that was truly heavenly. We were sad we only bought one slice. 🙃

We liked the place. The food is all vegan, not the healthiest but ok. Good prices! I had a burger and my boyfriend ate the salchipapas, they were a bit dry. The staff was very attentive though and the selva negra tart was amazing!

delicious, filling, and flavorful peruvian cooking, and the best part is that it is entirely vegan! the trio marino and arroz tapado are the two best plates i've eaten there (so far!), the prices are moderate from 10-25 soles, and most of the larger plates can be shared by two😄i would call ahead to make sure they are open, they are only open for lunch on the weekdays and saturday!

Good basic food in the Breña neighborhood - Edit
This small restaurant has 4 tables and 5 counter stools. It's not located in the typical tourist part of town, but if you happen to be in this area, it's a good choice and the price is right (only 7 soles for the meal of the day, as of June 2015).
Read moreThe day I went, I got a choice of soup or salad, and then a choice of the main plate (I chose the split pea mash with mock meat seasonsed with mild BBQ sauce, and brown rice).
As they say on their Facebook page, they make Peruvian food with vegetarian ingredients. I give them three cows for good basic food.
