Cheap but wasn’t impressive - Edit
We ordered the mie goreng, nasi goreng and the bean sprouts. The bean sprouts was our favourite of the 3 dishes. The mie goreng and nasi goreng were bland and lacked flavour. However, the servicing size of the mie goreng was decent!

Okay - Edit
Look, nothing wrong with the place but the taste just wasn’t there. It was the least flavourful dish we’ve had to date here, but, for $10 aus (105k) we got vegan nasi goreng, vegan mi goreng, side of tasty bean sprouts and a Coke Zero. A quick bite before a night of dancing. Can’t complain too much.

Tasty but be careful! - Edit
We ordered two different vegetarian curries but one came with chicken. So be careful and check your meal before you eat! It was not a language problem because the women who take our order definitely wrote down that both curries should be vegetarian. She even repeated it before she left to the kitchen.
Read moreAnyway, they made a new one and both, the red and the yellow curry were very tasty in the end. And it's cheap. So except for the chicken no go I would rate four stars.

Great Lil Warung - Edit
This place is definitely still open and is tucked along a backstreet off of the main drag in Gili T. The owner is super friendly and speaks great English. The food was prepared fresh and everything came out hot! The food is cheap and portion sizes were great and there’s a lot of variety for veggies/vegans! Will be coming back again before I leave Gili T.

The best curry in the world - Edit
Based on the reviews here I was really confident in coming to this place and asking for vegan options. The waiter was not so confident, he was quite confused by the word "vegan" and only told us about two options: vegan rendang and veggie curry. We were really craving noodles so we asked if they could make fried noodles with just veggies and some tofu. They did and also threw some tempe in there and it was great! But the best part was the veggie curry, so flavorful and and hearty. I didn't even manage to get a picture. It was so good we ordered one more plate because we couldn't get enough. The chef said they were mixing the curry spices themselves and you can really tell.

Cheap and filling - Edit
I had rice and a couple of options and I think it only came to 27k! I was here in November 2019 so can't remember exactly, I'm very behind on my reviews!
Read moreThere were plenty of vegan options and the staff member was really helpful in confirming which options were suitable. You get a choice of sauce with it as well, with varying spice levels.
Fantastic option for a cheap meal. I also saw somebody from a local dive shop come in with a tupperware to get takeway so you could take your lunch to the beach.
Pros: Cheap, Tasty
Cons: Only a few seats so may get full.

Owner of this Warung is really friendly and speak pretty good English so he could explain all dishes for me and I could even try some of them.
For 65000 rupee we have had rice with five dishes and soft drink. This is really good price.
Only downside was that food was a bit cold.

Cheap, tasty, authentic eats - Edit
After looking for some grub at the night market on Gili T and being underwhelmed with the vego choices, we wandered down to Oh Warung Gili and we were super happy we made the change. The owner greeted us warmly and explained that all their food is mainly vegan and the produce is local and seasonal. She also explained that they were eco friendly and don't use single use plastic. Only at the end she mentioned there were 2 meat options (both chicken). We paid 35k rupiah for the banquet option and she brought out an absolute feast. We had so much food we couldn't finish it. Drinks were cheap as well and water was free from a filter. It was authentic Indonesian food and felt like we were eating in their home. I'd highly recommend coming off the main street to eat at this little gem.
