Lovely old station building - Edit
An excellent place to go with non vegan friends. They do a stunning vegan breakfast. The interior is nicely laid out with railway style booths. After our meal we had cocktails on the platform outside. Well worth a visit.

Themed cafe/restaurant - Edit
We had the vegan chilli and vegan burger for lunch, both tasted nice. Expensive but I think you are paying for the presentation of the food and the restaurant which is an old train platform that has been transformed into a restaurant. They also sell bird food there to feed to the swans and ducks on the river adjacent. I also saw other customers order some nice looking cocktails. I thought the railway theme was very cute.

Rip-off - Edit
We arrived to this place encouraged by reviews here. There were vegan options on menu but anything we chose was not available, either due to sold out/low stock or that item was from evening or breakfast menu. I found out this at the till where you order and the staff was not really helpful and seemed pretty annoyed. I saw the tagine served and it was of the size of my snack and they ask £16! All the vegan options of mains were in range £15-18!!! I’m glad I didn’t proceed the order and rather left. The building and surroundings are nice. But I wouldn’t be back for the cafe.

Lovely sunny spot with great food - Edit
Went here for lunch. It's a fab place to sit on a sunny day, bird watch and enjoy the view. Not an entirely vegan menu but lots of lovely options and I can recommend the tagine! 😋

On the right track! - Edit
This is a hidden gem. A beautifully converted old station building with masses of railway memorabilia. There’s a great range of vegan options - all look very tasty.
Read moreWe were just popping in for a coffee before catching the ferry back home but could see that there is a very high standard of food prep and will be back again before too long.
The old railway line is now a cycle and walking track and you can hire bikes from the place next door to go exploring this beautiful part of the island.
Hope OTR continues to thrive and go even further down the vegan track 😊.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great atmosphere, Friendly staff
Cons: It’s a ferry journey away from us!
