Great Franzbrötchen, labels everywhere - Edit
Kind staff and it seems that all types of Franzbrötchen are vegan now. Not sure about other vegan items, but I never manage to go to this bakery early enough to see their whole inventory, sadly.

it wasn't my first Franzbrötchen as for some reason these are available in a vegan version in Hanover as well. I didn't mind grabbing one though as Franzbrötchen are simply delicious. this tasted lovely, too. price was fine. recommended!

I visited this place only to get to taste the Franzbrötchen - a typical Hamburgian pastry with a funny background story (they tried to make a croissant but it did not turn out that well, so they decided to just put loads of cinnamon and sugar on it). As this bakery offers vegan Franzbrötchen, I was a happy tourist!

It felt great that there was clear labeling regarding which options were vegan, but we unfortunately managed to come here when not much of the vegan stuff was available. We got some breakfast buns and they were nice, but to be honest - not better than the stuff you’d get in the supermarket. The guy behind the counter hardly spoke any English so it took him some time get the order right.

Love the Franzbrötchen here, it’s a must when traveling to hamburg and here, it’s nice and soft and juicy haha. Also they have oat milk which not many baking chains in Germany have.
