Fair enough - Edit
Decent, but quite mediocre. Carrot cake was dry and frosting was too sweet, I've had better. Summer roll was nice. My friend thought fried mushrooms were too salty.

Good food and nice atmosphere - Edit
We liked the food and the portions were medium size. Coming from Denmark prices were also reasonable.

A bit disappointing - Edit
The food doesn’t look tempting, the taste was bland, the servings small and prices high. The prefabricated pastry were way too expensive. You can have exactly the same strawberry cake at IKEA for 1/4 off the price!

Came at a bad time - Edit
We came around dinner time and had been very excited to try out this place, but the menu was very limited. All they had was curry, and as we had been staying at his Sri Lankan mothers house for the past few days, we were not too excited about curry and rice. The food was nothing special and it was a bit expensive for what we got. Big portions, yes, but the ingredients of such foods tend to be quite inexpensive with some exceptions. Over all it was a bit disappointing, but I want to go back and see their lunch-alternatives some day. Would also like a way to see the menu before arrival.

Wide variety of choice for vegan lunch - Edit
If you cannot decide what exactly you'd like to eat, you can easily mix few options at once on your plate. Everything was just delicious, perfectly flavored and the friendly staff in addition makes it a place to come back.

We had the vegan lasagne and we were sadly a bit underwhelmed. It was tasty but a little bit boring. The staff was very kind and friendly!

Not impressed - Edit
After the many good reviews my expectations were quite high. Unfortunately the food was only average and for that too small and too expensive. The pad Thai bowl (forgot the name) was quite good but basic. The carrot cake, chocolate cake and lasagna lacked in flavour.

Nordvegan was very frequented on our visit, but still managed to deliver on every level. You order at the entrance and get your beautiful looking, customizable food within the same minute. Then you can take a seat or take the food with you. We decided to sit down in the backyard and loved the atmosphere there as well. 😊

OK but there are better options in Oslo - Edit
It was OK-ish, the concept is very much like the one of Cultivate Food, that we liked a lot. The food didn't taste as good (still not bad), the atmosphere was a bit boring, and the bill was higher compared to them. Still, it's a nice location and I'd go there again if I'd be in the area and wanted a quick and nice vegan dish.

Badass Buddha Bowl - Edit
Friendly staff, and a bunch of variety and options when it comes to how you want to top your bowl. Tasted fresh and seems to be a popular spot so food is turning over frequently as well

Nice and quick, but not great - Edit
Came here for an early dinner a couple of weeks ago. I had the lasagna and my husband had the BBQ bowl with a spring roll. The BBQ bowl was quite yummy, with a good portion size and lots of flavor. The spring roll was also delicious, though we got the last one of the batch so it was a bit greasy from sitting out a while.
Read moreThe lasagna was okay. It felt kind of dated - using aspects of vegan cooking that were as good as you could get in 2002, but not anymore? It had a béchamel sauce that wasn't flavored with anything I could detect, but then they'd melted what tasted like a slice of soy cheese on top. The old kind of soy cheese that has that weird unpleasant aftertaste... I think it would be better to make a more flavorful béchamel sauce and skip the fake cheese. It also had sweet potato, which I wasn't into for lasagna. Idk though maybe I'm spoiled by the great ones I've made with Serious Eats recipes.
The strawberry cheesecake sold out right before we got to the counter, but it seemed really popular! We'll probably be back at least one more time to get the cheesecake and try the curry, but I don't think it will be a regular spot for us unless those blow us away.
Pros: Fast, BBQ bowl yummy, Everything's vegan

Many choice, the food is full vegan and very tasty. Yes it’s expensive (plate for 179 nok) but everything is expensive in Norway, especially in Oslo. The staff is kind and helpful

Great food and menu options - Edit
Visited NordVegan twice on our trip to Oslo in July 2022. Wife enjoyed the soups and "egg rolls" while I enjoyed the Lasagna which was delicious. tried the fried mushrooms and found them to be a delicious but a bit oily. Portions were more than adequate for an evening meal. Prices acceptable. Menu options are dependent on day you visit restaurant and change daily. Bathroom was spotless.

I Don't Get The Hype - Edit
I expected generous, filling dishes but since it's rather pricey I only got the buddha bowl , not extra spring rolls etc. I sat there checking what other places are recommended since I was still hungry. I expected much more from one of the top 3 recommneded places in a capital city. Not because it should have been amazing, but it just wasn't special by any means. Big, clean place, yes, but it would be just an avarage restauraunt in the small town where I'm from in the mediterranean area.

My favorite meal in Oslo - Edit
Loved it. It was first really good meal in Oslo the three days I’ve been here. Also one of the least expensive. (210 NOK/$20.63) Everything is vegan. I had a large serving of lasagne and a side order of Sweet potato tempura. Oh, and chocolate cake. All great.

Fresh and tasty - Edit
The Buddha bowls we had were really tasty and varied. The summer roll was really delicious with a fresh minty tang. The apple pie was alright, but nothing to write home about. Tap water is free. Staff was friendly and alert considering food allergies. Price is level is what you have to expect in Norway and especially Oslo.
