Lots of oil, lacking flavor

The kung pao dish was very oily as was the chow pan which was lacking in flavor. Definitely wouldn’t go back again. On a higher note, the food was decently priced and the service was very quick.

Pros: Decent pricing , Quick service

Cons: Lacking flavor, Too oily

Price, Options, and authenticy- pretty good

We got the Chowpan with the soy pork and the Kung Pao with the soy beef. Both were really authentic! Make sure to say no fish sauce, egg, and vegan. The noodles lacked a bit of flavor but they had tons of hot sauces on the table. Low key I feel like they may have the original siracha before they closed their factories. Which was a treat. And the kung pao sauce was really good! Packed with flavor and super saucy! The soy beef was a bit tough and chewy. We liked the soy pork more but still both were tasty! I definitely want to stop and come back for the PHO and get it with the soy pork. We saw other people enjoying it and it looked really good!
The wait staff was a bit interesting- and I say this because they were mopping and sweeping while we were eating under our shoes. And mind you the place was packed so they’re not cleaning every part of the restaurant. The sauces on the table were also very crusty with food from previous people. So kinda gross. We also did show up a bit late which is our bad, but we were traveling. When we showed up the guy seating us told us to make it quick. Even though the whole place was packed and people hadn’t even got their meals yet. Soon as we sat down they asked us what we wanted and it came no later than 3 minutes after. They definitely wanted us to leave. We also did leave before many of the other tables.
The food was tasty and definitely an experience. If you’re up for an adventure try it out!

Pros: Vegan mock meats, Authentic cuisine

Cons: Not the cleanest, Unwelcoming staff

Noodleitious!

Lots of Vegan/vegetarian options available. We ordered Kung Pao tofu and Chowpan soy beef, it didn’t disappoint. Very helpful staff, quickly prepared. Definitely a favourite in the area, it was packed.

super great!

they have several options that indicate vegetarian, but they can extend to vegan if you let them know!

Pros: lots of vegan options, straightforward employees, moderately priced

Good portions, specify vegan

Food was great, eaten there twice now, good veg menu but you must specify vegan as they have an oyster sauce in many items on veg menu and some options are egg noodles

Chow pan w/ Soy Beef!

Hands down this is my top guilty pleasure when I'm passing through Goleta. They consistently serve the Chow Pan with soy beef in a flash, and for under $10 it's the best value you can find. Just make sure there's no fish or oyster sauce in it and you're good. Salty, greasy, veggie, slippery noodles, spicy, everything a meal should be!

Pros: fast, easy, vegan

Cons: sometimes a long wait at lunch

I took your advice, had the Chow Pan with Soy Beef, and it was good. I did ask about the fish sauce, was assured by the young server that it was vegan. And just as you said, it arrived quickly, greasy noodles with thin squares of chewy fake beef, plus cabbage, carrots. Not much spice, so I applied sauces. Very few vegan offerings, I asked owner about vegan pho, but he said no. Too bad, I liked this little greasy spoon.
