They have a great menu and so much to choose from. I love their crumbed olives and anything with feta.
Read moreMy fav pizza is a tie between the truffle mushroom or the amatrice. The dough is thin and has the lovely charcoal woodfired taste.
Can't visit without an order of cannoli, it's the only place in Brisbane that does vegan ones!
The staff are very attentive and the venue is great for dates (inside) and big groups (outside). Well worth the visit.

Food was decent, good variety of flavours but a bit dull and expensive. The foccacia starter was good, the gnocchi was just ok, Ravioli had good flavour but very small portion. Cannoli was basically stale and the cream in the middle was grainy.

Well, honestly some a the best Italian food I had, I have been in Italy many times and as a vegan that was challenging, while I had good food was not much choice, same in general going out to Italian restaurant is coming down to have a dish and have to remove a lot of composent and still paying full price for it so a Italian restaurant where I can have everything was a treat!!! probably ate more than necessary as the choice was cornelian, tried arrancini, artichoke, focaccia, truffle pasta, lasagna and tiramisu and everything was delicious!! Good wines selection as well. Service was super friendly but not overwhelming, a great time with friends there

I had the broccolini and the pizza Amatrice. Both were very delicious.
The pizza is very big. I wouldn’t recommend ordering anything for a starter.

Nonna’s Nightmare are levelling up Meanjin’s vegan dining scene. In fact, their delicious Italian menu offers some of the best vegan food I’ve eaten anywhere. The restaurant is small, neat, nothing flash. On warm nights, I’m sure it would be nice to sit outside up the quiet end of Boundary St. I went with one vegetarian and one omni friend and we ordered a few entrees/ sides and a pizza to share. The stuffed crumbed olives with creamy aioli and crispy artichokes with whipped feta were unique and tasty. We all found everything equally delicious. The vegan cheeses were the highlight for me - lots of variety and all distinct flavours and textures. Service was fast and friendly.

We got take away: mushroom ravioli and for dessert, cannoli. The flavor of the ravioli and sauce was quite nice but overpriced (nearly $30) for only 6 pieces. The cream of the cannoli wasn't a flavor I was expecting or really liked much, but that might come down to personal preference. Nonetheless, I would like to try the pizzas next time.

This restaurant is kicking vegan goals. It's just kicking food goals in general tbh. We got arancini which were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle and came with a really nice sauce to share as an entree, and I had the zucchini pizza while my partner got the risotto of the day (pumpkin and gorgonzola). The pizza was pretty big and very delicious. It was a creative combination that I wouldn't necessarily have thought of, but everything just worked perfectly together, every ingredient complimenting each other. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and helpful without being at all over the top. Lovely place to eat for something a bit fancy but unpretentious.

Having just flown in from NZ to Brisbane, this place was a life-saver. I was tired and hungry and what could be better than a bowl of comfort food someone else has made? I can't remember the last time I ate an Italian meal outside the home and this exceeded my expectations. Lovely friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Just go and enjoy!

Delicious food, I got the ravioli and it was a tad too small for me but with an entree or side it would’ve been fine! The ravioli itself was delicious. The pizzas were bigger than I expected, I will definitely be trying one of them next time!

Read moreThe food was next level. Just divine. One of my favourite restaurants now. We had the focaccia al rosmarino, so so so morish. This was followed by pasta penne ala vodka. A really, really delicious dish. Also the pasta pappardelle ai fungi, also out of this world. Dessert was frangelico tiramisu, outstandingly good and the chocolate pannacotta. Again amazing!
I can’t wait to go back!

We ate; entree arancini balls, gnocchi, ravioli, pizza bianca (zucca) and pizza rossa (tricolore). All items were super flavourful and the vegan cheese was awesome! Will go back again! The pizza base is superb. Fyi - large groups will be charged $55 a head for a banquet (make sure you book in advance!)

Read moreWe ordered the arancini to start which came with a nice sauce. They were nice. I ordered the mushroom ravioli which was a special. There was a lot of flavour in this dish. It had pine nuts too which I always find add flavour. My partner had the lasagna which he liked. Then onto dessert. The tiramisu was creamy and had flavour as well. My partner ordered the lemon cheesecake. I had a taste and thought it was incredible

Great little restaurant. We ordered the alla norma (eggplant) pizza and it was perfect. Cashew cheese was perfectly melty and gooey, base was crispy and chewy and the sauce was sweet and flavourful. Couldn't fault any of it

Pizza dough was good but their vegan cheese recipe needs some more refinement (probably more nutritional yeast would help).
Maybe it's more reasonable if you dine in.
