A very assuming little restaurant in a great location. Our main meals were great, satay tofu, beef black bean and the best one was the lemon honey chicken. The steamed dim sim starter was not great though, tasted kinda strange…but that would be my only complaint with the meal. The prices were incredibly reasonable, three of us ate there for $68 including two drinks and we were very full.

West End Vegan Restaurant has decent Chinese-Vietnamese Inspired Thai Food. The mixed entrée was perfect - crispy and flavourful. Mock chicken nuggets is used for the satay skewers and the satay sauce is not peanut based (if you were expecting a peanut sauce). The yellow curry and the eggless crispy noodles leans towards the saltier side (if you like that extra hit of salt). Cutlery and drinks are self serve so help yourselves. Portions are worth the prices.

The food was delicious. Whatever we tried, we liked. Huuuuge portions though. I got the combination rice which by the way was super delicious, and I received a mountain of rice on a plate. I couldn't finish it, I had to pack it for take away. I hate wasting food. But the whole experience was great. Would eat here again if given the opportunity.

The food here was amazing. We pre-ordered online and was ready when we collected at collection time. Very easy to use and the staff are friendly. Food tasted amazing and was still hot when we got home (after 20min of walking).

Unfortunately what I ordered on Ubereats was not great. It was the vegan salty fish fried rice. It was very bland with tiny prices of cut up fish that was like tofu. Couldn’t have been more than the tiniest piece cut up. It wasn’t salty or flavourful. No veggies at all. I wouldn’t order this or recommend it. I’d still try other dishes as the reviews seem really good!

I have eaten here many times before. This review is based on my visit in February 2024. Good points: 100% vegan menu. Friendly and fast service. Seating both outdoors and indoors. Good prices: Only $22 for a filling meal of a large plate of honey chicken and a smaller plate of steamed mixed vegetables and small bowl of rice. Free water - no need to buy drinks. Negative points: There are vegan restaurants with better tasting food, but they are more expensive. Overall assessment: A reliable place for good vegan food at good prices.

A classic! Love visiting here. I basically always get the same few dishes on rotation because I know they’re delicious. The pad thai, the thai curries, sweet n sour chicken and drumsticks are all incredible! The meals are also super big, filling and very well priced (for Brisbane)

Read moreIt was here that we found a more fast paced restaurant with far better service we ordered the Singapore noodles salt and pepper tofu drumsticks and honey chicken all were amazing the drumstick were very smartly made and yum the honey chicken with maple syrup to replace honey was very tasty.
The salt and pepper tofu was by far the best so fuffy and delicious.

I ordered the Veggie Laksa and requested to have it gluten-free.
The serving was huge and contained a range of vegan meats, fresh vegetables and oodles of noodles.
Was it gluten-free? No, I think most of the noodles (and perhaps some of the vegan meats) were wheat based, and only I picked this up once I took a deep dive into the soup.
I decided not to mention this to the staff as I'm not coeliac and choose to eat GF for other health reasons.
However, if you have a physical reaction to gluten, it may pay to double-check that what they are serving is actually GF if you request it.
Otherwise a lovely meal - way more than I could possibly eat in one sitting.
I'll be back to try some other menu items.
