Wonderful little place - Edit
I was so impressed by this little find in the centre of Puchov.
Read moreWe got there late on the day (about 1:30pm), after the chef was gone so only had a packed up couscous salad with sun dried tomatoes and seitan and cheese. Not my usual choice, but I was impressed by the combination, it was delish. My husband had a tomato sandwich, he said it was very tasty too . For desert we had a plain and a raspberry croissant. Both very moist, light and really really good.
The lady who served us was very friendly and chatty. Not vegan herself, but was knowledgable of all products, ingredients and was trying to help with our questions and recommended other vegan place near by in case our little one didn’t want to eat what was left in the bistro.
We were given free hemp cakes to try - again not my usual choice, but yet again I was well impressed, tasted amazing. I didn’t even manage to take pictures it was eaten so quickly!
We’ve returned for a takeaway on our last day a couple of days later. Everything was prepared for us, ready to take, the lady even prepared an extra portion for us just in case. (Which was handy as we’ve decided without her knowing to order an extra portion before we even arrived there).
The only downside for me is that two or three products on sale are vegetarian and not clearly marked as such, we’ve almost bought a macaroon thinking it was vegan.
They are moving premises next month, and we were told they will be selling eggs and other animal products from small producers once they’ve moved.
I will visit again next time I’m in the area as overall the food was really tasty and staff friendly and helpful.
Pros: Delish food, Good size portions , Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Selling non vegan stuff which isn’t clearly marked
