Disappointed as well - Edit
Nice terrace but overpriced and boring Couscous for 100 MAD. Fast service but not friendly.

Great variety - Edit
Menu is well labeled as to what is vegan and vegetarian. There is a good variety of options for both. Pricier than most other places in Marrakech.

A change from tajine/cous-cous, but nothing special - Edit
The venue is pleasant, staff and organization are professional, service is fast. It feels like a hip European place, and seems to attract an (almost) exclusively foreign crowd. This probably has to do with the European-level prices as well. There are not too many vegetarian/vegan dishes, but the choice available is interesting. We found the zucchini fritters tasty, while the cauliflower was quite overboiled (vegetables are usually overboiled in Morocco, but at this price level, I would have expected more). Portion sizes were small.

Nice restaurant, few vegan options - Edit
Compared to the other restaurants we went to, this was by far one of the nicer ones. The food was very good and they have marked vegan options on the menu. However I expected more vegan options.

Expected more - Edit
We went to Nomad because I've read so much positive about this restaurant. The restaurant is nice but I expected more vegan options. There was no single main course vegan, only 1 (a salad) can be made vegan if they remove the sauce. So we ordered 3 side dishes, because they were vegan. The taste was really good but I think the prices are to high.

Average. Touristy. - Edit
The place was lovely and the staff very attentive. The food came out very quickly and I made a guess that they had it prepared ahead of time. The taste was good but more Western than authentic.
Read moreIf you are tired of traditional Moroccon food or are not interested in the true essence of Moroccon food, this can be your place. If you want the real deal, go somewhere else as this place is, in my opinion, catered to Western tastes.
Pros: Well mannered and attentive staff, Great atmosphere
Cons: Catered to tourists tastes

Nice meal - Edit
After a couple of days in Marrakech I wanted to eat something than vegetarian tajine and vegetarian couscous. Even if there weren’t any vegan main dishes on the menu, at Nomad I ordered two side dishes (which are all vegan!) and I was surprised both because they were great and at the end I was full.

Good food, not many options - Edit
Despite there not being very many vegan/vegetarian options (much more choice for starters than for mains) the vegan options are very tasty. There are a few salads (raw zucchini or shaved cauliflower and fennel) which were both delicious. Choice of sorbets for desert.

Cute place, food was good. I had the shaved cauliflower and fennel salad (no cheese) and the lentil with beetroot side. It was so nice to find a place with vegan options marked in the menu.

Good food but pricey - Edit
I shared the meze platter to start and could have everything but the bread, I asked for the vegetarian plate for my main and the waiter helped here. He understood the word vegan and suggested I swapped the tzatziki(?) for potatoes, my meal was really nice. The staff were helpful and there seemed to be options. Expensive though.

I had a nice veggie sandwich here. Cafe is geared towards tourist crowd and so a bit pricey for what it is, but well labelled menu. Meat served.

Good food but too expensive - Edit
The food was good, very expensive though. Incredible view from the rooftop. The restaurant is quite fancy but could be worth a visit just to see the view when the sun goes down with the prayer call in the background.

Only good for the view - Edit
I was expecting better. It's overrated and overpriced. The main portions are really small. The food is good but nothing exceptional compared to cheaper and more traditional restaurants. Not many vegan options and the complementary bread was extremely dry. If you go there at night make sure you ask to eat on the terrace. However it's really dark so you won't even see what you're eating.

1 vegan & 1 vegetarian.
Read moreWe had 2 vegetarian tagines, green couscous and sauteed potato sides between us. Fast service, English menu, 8% service charge added - however we didn't have any small change (only 100 notes) so they waived ours! Complimentary bread.
Desert menu includes a selection of sorbets, but we didn't try them.
Pros: vegan options, reasonably priced
Cons: hard to find

good but not the best - Edit
I got overly excited about this place from seeing all the good reviews. The first time I went I ordered the Moroccan salad which was good but missing the olives described on the menu. Also got the vegetarian Briohout which is a flaky pasty with vegetables, this dish was not good as the ingredients were dry and the sauce on the side was mayo, probably not vegan. We also ordered the vegetarian Tagine which was basically roasted dry vegetables, wouldn't get it again. We went back to give the place another chance and ordered the Mezze plate which was good but comes out with yogurt bread so vegans might need to ask without. Also got the side couscous which was good but missing something. The soup was terrible super bitter but the winner was a spicy roasted potato. The juices and smoothie were good here but the expresso was just ok. Service was typical. I think I found the Gueliz neighborhood to have better food. There are lots of "health" food restaurants that just opened up. Check happy cow or just go for a walk out there. If you absolutely need to go somewhere on the Medina area and are not willing to experiment with Moroccan local restaurant then this place is probably the best option.
