Very nice

Awesome little cafe/restaurant. Although not fully vegetarian I think it warrants the stamp for a slightly more remote restaurant in Japan. And deserves to get our community attracted to it. Everything is super clearly marked. Even has stories of how they get the ingredients to a fine detail.
Seperate English menu too which helps a lot.
The food was so good, I had the Tegan curry and was so nice and came with heaps of tasty sides and miso soup. My non vegan friends had the omelette set, I’m sure that was good but if you can opt for the vegan dishes😉Thankyou.

Bonus giant Totoro at the entrance of the teddy bear museum just next door

Pros: Tasty Foods, Beautiful location, Totoro

Cons: Not fully veg or vegan

Colorful Curry

So on my way to the Teddy Bear Museum I stumbled upon this place. I didn't expect much and was ready for Komenoko part 2 since the premise and the menu looked similar.

What I ate:
- Vegetable Curry

The curry came plates with lots of colorful veggies, rice, miso soup, a little salad and some pickled/fermented vegetables.

A very colorful and beautiful plate. The food was actually good. I really liked the amount of colorful veggies and the mild spiceyness of the curry. The miso soup was a bit boring, but the fermented veggies and salad gave a good

All that for a very reasonable price. I think this is your place to go to in Ito (which doesn't have much choice for vegans)

Note: this place also offers chicken and fish. So it's not a vegetarian restaurant! It just has vegetarian and vegan options.

Absolutely Recommend

Love this place. We were having hard time finding vegetarian hotels but I found this restaurant so that I can bring take-away food from here and have my meals in the hotel. You need cooler bag to take-away your meal.

an oasis in the desert

Vegan options are hard to come by in Ito so I was very happy to find Nodoca. I had the vegetable plate which was delicious and a nice respite after walking around Mt. Omuro. The friendly owner previously ran a veggie-oriented restaurant in Tokyo for many years so is well versed in catering to vegans.

NOTE: Parking is in a lot down the street and not in the lot adjacent to the building.

Pros: tasty and nutritious food, friendly owner, nice atmosphere

Great food, filling, cute!!

The menu has clearly marked vegan options. We got the soup set and vegetable set. They were both super tasty. I was hoping for something a bit more filling than just veggies and that's actually what we got, the food was tasty and wholesome. We also got the vanilla pudding and a hojicha latte. It was all delicious. The service was also great.
