Great vegan options

The owner was very friendly and kind. Vegan options were really good so I came back two days in a row for lunch! Highly recommended!

An intimate atmosphere with good vibes!

We went during dinner time so the menu was 100% Vegan! The atmosphere is quite intimate seeing as how the restaurant is a bit small, but it’s merely an enhancement! The owner is super friendly and can speak English, so if you don’t know any Japanese, it’s okay! I would love to come back again during lunch to try their smoothies and vegan sandwich set! Highly recommended 😊

Pros: Intimate atmosphere , Super friendly staff & owner, Dinner time menu was all vegan! 🌱

Deserves 5 stars

Great experience! Came here for lunch and was warmly welcomed. English was no problem as they have an English menu. I had the rice ball set and it was just great! All of the dishes had an extraordinary taste (especially the eggplants) and everything was delicious.
Hope to come back to try the Curry, the other vegan dish!

Would rate 5 stars if I could

They serve meat, so Happy Cow won't let me give five stars. This place deserves it though. Most of the menu is vegetable focused. There are a number of vegetarian and vegan options. The vegan options as of today are a curry (which was incredibly tasty and full of veggies), a couple sandwiches, salads, and some side dishes. There's also a large drink menu.

The atmosphere is intimate and peaceful, with relaxing music playing. Staff and service is amazing, the lady working in the front seating area chatted with me for almost an hour despite the language barrier.

Definitely the best food I had while in Nagasaki. Come here if you want genuinely healthy, delicious food with lots of vegetables.

Pros: Intimate atmosphere, Top tier service, Delicious and healthy food

Cons: They do serve some meat, but it's not the focus

good vegan options

I recently went there for dinner at 7pm. At night, this is mainly a bar. The friendly and talented owner told me that she serves more vegan options at lunch, but she decided to make available 4 vegan choices for dinner because she feels sorry for her vegan customers: as you know, there are not many vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Japan to begin with, and they tend to open mainly for lunch, and they tend to close on various days of the week.

I had the sampler plate which consisted of small portions of various items that have good and different flavors. Another customer ordered the sandwich plate. There's also a big salad plate. (I forgot what the 4th option was.) All 4 choices cost 1,800 yen at night. Portions are not big but sufficient if you are not too hungry.

Pros: open at night with 4 vegan choices, friendly bar, can meet and talk to other guests and owner

Cons: only 4 vegan choices

A must-visit!

I went on a quiet Monday evening when no one else was there, but had a great time. The owner was really friendly and speaks great English.

The food was amazing and a lot of it seemed to be grown organically by the owner.

Its very small however, so I wonder if reservations would be needed on the weekend or during tourist seasons

Would definitely go back

Leckeres Essen, herzliche Inhaberin

Pros: Leckeres Essen, Nette Inhaberin, Das Brot!

Love love love

If you’re vegan or vegetarian in Nagasaki, you have to come here! I personally recommend the vegan curry with local and seasonal vegetables, but my family also ordered sandwiches and the combo set. Everything was amazing, including the homemade teas. I wish we had more time to spend in Nagasaki, I would definitely come back here! It’s very cozy and peaceful inside, probably best for groups of 4 or less.

Pros: Food, Sustainable sourcing, Atmosphere

Tiny little place but super friendly with several vegan options. Also do vegan bread and to-go boxes. Food was tasty and filling. I had the vegan set meal. Absolutely beautifully presented. And the homemade ginger tea was divine!

Pros: Good price, Friendly and local, Vegan options

Cons: Limited seating (8 at the counter and one table)

Nice vegan friendly café

Consisting of a single table and a counter, this café provides an English menu with quite a few vegan options such as curry, sandwich, a soup and a Japanese set meal. They arrange the meal right in front of you (and also prepare it and wash the dishes right there, it is quite awkward at times...). The Hummus sandwich was good, however pretty simple and so are the soup and the salad, but decent choice overall (especially since there is no much choice in Nagasaki besides coco...). They are committed to healthy and sustainable food, farm to table concept (and plus, their toilet is very cute, you should check it out 😊).

Please note however, it is not fully vegan (they don't claim to be either, it is just a mistake in happy cow).

Wow!!

Einfach geniales Essen! Besitzerin super sympathisch. Geht hin!

Pros: Steht doch im Text

Cons: Nichts

Probably the best vegan option in Nagasaki

We sat at the bar in this tiny restaurant and ordered a pair of vegan set menus which was carefully assembled in front of us. It was great to watch the attention to detail that was applied to the arrangement, and when we got our hands on the food we were glad that the flavour matched the aesthetic. All the elements of the set menu were quite different and all delicious. We especially liked the summer rolls and the strange cocktail sausage/chicken nugget-looking thing, which had great chewy texture. This was one of the best set menus we had in Japan.

Pros: Great variety in the set menu, Summer rolls

Amazing discovery in Nagasaki!

Fantastic healthy local restaurant.
Nobister is a small place near the city center in Nagasaki. Very friendly staff. They speak good English.

The food is organic, very tasty and fresh. They have a few vegan options. We tried the set menu and it was really good. Delicious, healthy and you could tell the great quality of the ingredients.

They also have vegan cookies and toffees.

100% recommended!

(The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because they serve animal products).

Amazing vegetarian/vegan food

Such delicious vegetarian/vegan food! We had the vegan set meal - every element of this was a joy to eat. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Nagasaki! As far as I could tell the dinner menu was completely vegetarian.

Very friendly staff

Had a set lunch (vegan curry) and it was very filling. The food is very healthy (the smoothie tastes healthy too / not sugary enough for my American tastebuds but that’s okay).

I had the vegan curry and it was full of fresh ingredients from their farm. The bread was lovely and flavourful. The curry was full of flavour and filling. Service was good and they have enough information in English to help you.

A cosy eatery located not too far from the harbour area. The owner, Nobi, was friendly and spoke great English. I ordered the set vegan meal which was healthy, tasty, and filled with fresh-tasting ingredients.

They also have vegan donuts available, depending on what day you visit!

Pros: Fresh, locally-grown ingredients, friendly owner, healthy

Very good

We came her twice during lunch and had delicious vegetarian meals. Sandwiches, curry and Rice set. Very friendly people. Currently, she does only seem to be open during lunch time: 11-14.30. Opening times may vary, but do check this place, it's worth it and location is close to tram stop ohato.

Pros: Many options , Healthy , Friendly staff, speaks English

Cons: Opening times not entirely clear
