Very thoughtful food - Edit
I just went to Nic’s for the first time & I am sooo down now. My partner said it was one of their favorite dinners & they aren’t even vegan. I will absolutely be going back. We LOVED the “Southern Style Fried Oyster Mushrooms”. The dish was so well balanced- I can’t think of anything o didn’t like about it. The risotto was great (wish there was a little more since it’s a main dish…but still great)

So flavorful! - Edit
I completely enjoyed every dish and drink that I ordered & I can’t believe I hadn’t gone here sooner!! Friendly bartender, great service, and beautiful presentation! The Caesar salad dressing was very flavorful compared to some others I have tried in the area and I would definitely order it again! The chocolate cheesecake and banana ice cream with caramel was so so so good!! The pan seared tofu and quinoa had a lot of flavor despite its deceptive simplicity😄

Nic’s - Edit
Deceptively delicious! And I say deceptive because the pizzas don’t look that great (to me) but they are bursting with flavor and the textures are executed well. I generally don’t like pizza and I loved this Detroit style pizza, so that says a lot. I’d liken this too elevated focaccia bread. 😋

Best vegan pizza I’ve ever had - Edit
Love the vibe here, the patio is beautiful. Friendly staff and huge portions. Honestly think the pepperoni pizza was the best pizza I’ve ever had! It’s a super deep fluffy dish pizza, so so good and haven’t stopped thinking about it since coming back to the UK 😅

Good brunch - Edit
Loved that the whole place is vegan. The vibe is really cool. Food was a bit pricey. I get it. Its on Beverly but still. The drinks were really good-the ginvincible and ghostride. Everything on the menu also sounded really good. It was hard to decide. Hubby went with the fried oyster mushroom sandwich and I ordered the benedict. Oyster mushroom sandwich was really good. Benedicts were also good but kinda heavy. The hollandaise sauce was very cheesy tasting compared to others I’ve tried. Also didn’t know it came with tomatoes and pickled onions on it-woulda requested that they didn’t put it on if I had known. I ordered side of potatoes with the benedict since it didn’t come with anything. For the price, a side of potatoes or fruit would have been nice. At Crossroads, the benedict came with fruit AND potatoes.

Tasty, but ultimately overpriced - Edit
This is a nice spot to get some vegan grub. The brunch menu is extensive and the location is very nice. We enjoyed the food, but ultimately it’s a bit overpriced for what it is. Unfortunately that’s part of what you get when you dine in the Beverly Hills area. The oyster mushroom sandwich was quite good, but at $24 I’ve had better for half the price. My wife got the Eggs Benedict, which were also good but a bit heavy and they upset her stomach a little bit. Parking sucks on the weekend due to neighborhood permits, but we found a meter. Overall, pretty good but not necessarily a must go to again location.

Favorite vegan pizza, but the plain only comes with parm and a dipping sauce. The truffle burger was also fire. For some reason burgers come with like a pound of fries.

Just happened to show up during happy hour, so we tried four of the appetizers that were only $7. They were all excellent. Loved the Gyoza! We will definitely return and highly recommend.

The entire patio is shaded underneath a big leafy tree. It’s gorgeous. The food is flavorful, healthy, and well presented. The service was excellent as well.

Nics has the best back patio for brunch or dinner! They also have some of the best vegan food in LA. I am excited to see what their new chef comes up with. My server was Ryan and he was amazing!!!

The worst breakfast I’ve ever had - Edit
The place is certainly “gramable” (Read: a vibe hipsters seem to dig) but unfortunately the food doesn’t hold up for me to ever want to go back.
Read moreI ordered the Benedict on the servers suggestion as one of the best dishes they have, and although it looked amazing, it was depression at first bite and full PTSD by the time I made it half way though a $50 encounter I couldn’t bare to finish. The hollandaise sauce straight up tastes like ketchup aioli and not even one I’d want on my burger.
If you’re there for a vegan Benedict I’d suggest trying a different spot. Maybe it’s just a bad dish here.
**update, I went back for a business meeting and had the pizza since it’s what everyone seems to rave about. It was certainly better, but I’m still not loving this spot with so many amazing options to contend with in LA.

Fine food, awful service - Edit
This was the spot I was most looking forward to visiting on my recent trip to LA, but I was disappointed and would not go back based on our experience. The food was pretty good, but the service was awful. We booked a table on OpenTable far in advance, and my thought is, any slot you offer to a diner on a booking platform is one you should plan to serve like you would any other diner. We killed time with a quick drink at the bar (the bartender was lovely!) while we waited for our (reserved-in-advance) table. But then, because it was close to closing, we were rushed from the minute we sat down, warned that the kitchen was closing soon. A very unwelcoming hurry-up vibe for what really should be a much nicer restaurant (and it's not like we were even the only customers there.) To add insult, the service was hard to flag down and inattentive in addition to being kind of cold and stand-offish, and they obviously wanted us out ASAP. Bummer, I guess lots of other people have had better experiences here, but this place worked overtime to earn its spot on my NOPE list.

Absolutely amazing 100% will go back - Edit
Went for brunch had the Benedict and it blew my mind. Truly an ode to the exact Benedict taste I remember but so much better because it’s vegan. I seriously couldn’t of done it better myself with the amazing “hollandaise” sauce also asked for a side of truffle tahini. My meal looked so amazing the two people next to our table ordered it since they saw mine. I’ll keep coming back for the amazing vegan food.

Good food, prettier than it is tasty. Chilaquiles sauce tasted very store bought and bland. Good espresso, cocktails and French toast special.

My favorite high end vegan restaurant - Edit
I love this place. The truffle burger is absolutely the best. I also get the fish n chips but sometimes it doesn't taste as good as other times. The potato wedges that come with the fish n chips are spectacular. I like the white pizza, the crust is bomb.

Best Vegan Brunch in LA! - Edit
I can not say enough great things about this establishment! It has the best vegan brunch in LA, served by an amazing staff, in a magical tree covered courtyard. Everything on the menu is fantastic, their drinks amazing and beautiful atmosphere. My personal favorite is the Breakfast Sandwich with Potatoes and a glass of bubbly. Great date spot! My spouse and I love to go in the early afternoon. Keep in mind, reservations are required.

Great food & ambiance with the friendliest staff!! - Edit
We booked a reservation for brunch at 2:00 but got there around 1:30.Me and my father were immediately greeted with friendly staff. They are asking for proof of vaccination or negative covid test with I.D.After she checked she immediately sat us in our table even if we got there earlier than our reservation. They were pretty busy because there were a lot of customers. After about 15 mins our waiter came and she was the friendliest girl I’ve ever met!! She apologized for the inconvenience of arriving at our table late.I wasn’t bothered at all and said it was totally fine! Since they were having a chaotic and busy day.She immediately took our order and got two Arnold palmers which were great! We also ended up getting two Nic’s burgers 🍔 which comes with fries 🍟 and small cup of ketchup and a pepperoni pizza 🍕 with a small cup of ranch.Everything was super delicious and the fries were super crispy! Our food didn’t take long to arrive at our tables. For dessert I ended up going with the Dark chocolate 🍫 mousse which comes with two pistachio biscottis,it was super creamy and rich in flavor. The waitress was super super nice she even gave us free dessert!!! We tipped her and she was hesitant in taking it because she felt bad for making us wait “too long” but it was definitely not long that we waited.Such amazing friendly staff and great ambiance

Grease City - Edit
I rarely give a bad review to a vegan restaurant, but this was just not a pleasing dining experience. Pretty much everything was fried or pan seared or something with loads of oil. Their pizza was like pizza hut’s deep dish pizza, cooked with tons of oil in the pan and on top. Even the salad was heavy and ultra fatty. There are no fresh juices or anything healthy at all. Anything tastes good with a bunch of oil and salt, so for the big prices i expected stuff to be made with a bit more attention to herbs and fresh flavors. The music playing was loud and basically like 90’s club music which really destroyed the ambiance.

Incredible Food, Ambiance and Service - Edit
If you want a more upscale dining experience with creative and unique dishes, you owe it to yourself to go to Nic's. It is pricier than many vegan restaurants, but then again, it delivers on many levels in terms of service, quality and incredibly prepared chef forward California cuisine. There is a wide range of options to satisfy any eater with Italian, Asian Latin and American influences. The music is a bit loud and clubby at times, but the overall design and patio are pleasant to enjoy your experience.
Read moreWe shared the Chinois On Beverly Salad, Tempura Avocado Tacos and and Tempura Maitake Mushrooms as the main course and it was plenty of food for two. They offer many natural wines and cocktails as well. The Dark Chocolate Mousse was the best we've ever had, so light and flavorful!
We'd go back to try the wood fired Detroit style pizza. Our neighbors had it and it looked amazing with fresh Sicilian style crust and garlic wafting through the air. They offer valet parking in the rear. The same owner started Monty's.
Pros: Fresh and Creative Dishes, Excellent Presentation and Service , Wide Range of Options
Cons: Music on the Loud Side and Clubby, Pricey

You’re Crazy If You Don’t Go Here - Edit
From the ambience to the comfort food that tastes perfectly like decadent treats from my childhood, this place was extremely memorable. I brought my kids, and my oldest said “This is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to.” The staff was very attentive and nice. I’m from Tennessee so might not be back again soon, but I’ll take the memories with me.
