Great find for veggie family - Edit
This cosy little find just outside of the Old Town of Hôi An was brilliant. 2 members of my family are veggie and so Nhat Da was a great find in a country where it can be difficult to get the message of no fish sauce, no fish, no meat across.
Read moreThe food was tasty, with lots of options of Vietnamese dishes that we've found unaccessible so far such as papaya salad. My family and I enjoyed the meal, and I'd highly recommend the restaurant.
Pros: Lots of vegan options., Cheap for a UK tourist.

Tasty & fresh - Edit
Really good food, I had a noodle dish with loads of fresh Veggies and the lemongrass tofu. Friendly and smiley staff too!

Some nice dishes - Edit
We had Cao Lau (40k) and a special pancake (not Banh Xeo - 69k) for lunch. The pancake was excellent and I really recommend this one, but the noodles hadn’t a real taste and where just noodles with some tofu and salad. We just tried this two dishes and wouldn’t take the noodles again, but the place is nice. A bit outside the tourist area and the stuff was friendly. The prices are average for Hoi An.

Durchschnittlich - Edit
Ziemlich durchschnittliches Lokal.

Several vegan options - Edit
We had the vegan cao Lao, an other noodle dish, fried Beens and spring rolls. The food was fine but not exceptional in terms of taste. The owners are friendly.

Amazing food - Edit
Delicious local cuisine! Very tasty and flavorful with herbs and seeds. All the food is freshly cooked with fresh organic ingredients. Chili sauce, tofu, seitan and soy milk is home made. They grow a few ingredients in their own garden as well. Great mock meats. Took the cooking class today. Was very good. Since 1989

Lovely ambience, good food - Edit
We had the local Vietnamese dish Lau cau, which is a kind of fried noodle with greens and mockmeat (think they used tofu). It was delicious, but a bit mild. She also gave us a yummy chilly sauce that went really well with everything. The dumpling soup looked really good too.

Top spot in Hội An - Edit
My go to spot in Hội An. Super cheap and a handful of choices. The Bánh Mì is perfect and the people who run it are extremely friendly. Strongly recommend this spot.

Do the vegan cooking class - Edit
We did the cooking class with the woman who owns the place with her parents. She took us to the markets and showed us where all the ingredients are bought. She taught us about local vegetables and fruits. The whole restaurant is vegan as the family are strict Buddhists. The food we made was simple, fresh and delicious. A lovely way to spend a few hours.

Ok food, friendly family - Edit
Small family owned restaurant. The owner said everything on the menu is vegan (which I doubt because the couple next to us had burgers which would come with 'vegan mayo' but didn't look like they had any sauce inside). I had the banana leaf salad which tasted good at the beginning, but after a few minutes I started tasting some mold or something like that, so I didn't finish the dish. Don't know if it had something to do with my tastebuds or not, but I seemed to have found some piece of banana flower in my salad which looked like it had mold on it... My boyfriend had a traditional Vietnamese noodle dish with mock meat. Tasted ok, but was not very warm unfortunately. Asked for a smoothie without a straw, which came with a straw unfortunately. Prices are ok.

Nothing special - Edit
Went there because of all the good reviews. Had the beans, the braised pa choi and 5-seasons salad. The veggies were okay, but very oily, the beans looked like Heinz baked beans from the can with some added ginger. Maybe I ordered the "wrong" things, but yeah, it was a below average tastewise.
Read moreAlso, although prices seem reasonable, the portions are pretty small.
The service was friendly but slow.
Updated (3.9.2019):
Initially gave it 3 stars. Went there the second time, ordered steamed tofu in tomato sauce which was pretty good (looks like they make tofu in-house) and the steamed dumpling which was also nice.
Pros: Friendly, good choices
Cons: Not that cheap, oily, hit-or-miss menu
