Decent - Edit
I ordered vermicelli soup which was very nice, good portion size and cheap (30k). I also ordered a dumpling (15k) which was ok but I’ve had better at Ba Dam and there’s are 12k. At the very end of my meal I noticed a mouse come out of a small corner gap in the wall and then went back in, scared me at first so if this scares you don’t go. I was the only one in there and the food came out fairly quick.

Authentic, cheap and tasty vietnamese food with friendly service! They have a little store selling vegan products too. I tried the Bao, banh mi and fried spring rolls all of which were excellent!

We tried 4 different dishes here and the fried spring rolls where the only thing we kind of enjoyed. The staff are great and the kitten is very cute, but the food is not worth the price.

NOT ALL VEGAN but lovely staff - Edit
I was very excited for a vegan pizza and when it came it had dairy cheese on top of it.
Read moreThe lady asked me if it was okay because I wasn't eating it and I told her I'm vegan.
She was very apologetic and they explained everything is vegan apart from the pizza because it's difficult to get vegan cheese.
I was willing to pay for the pizza because I felt I should have checked it was vegan but they were adamant I didn't pay.
She said that she can order vegan cheese in so that we can come back.

Best pho and banh bao - Edit
Don’t be put off by the decor when you arrive (it kind of looks like a corner store makeshift restaurant), The pho and bao buns here are seriously delicious. If this place wasn’t like a 40 minute walk from our hostel I would have gone here for every meal. Beautiful authentic flavours and so nice to find a vegan bao finally! The owners and staff are all very kind.

Great food at a great price - Edit
The menu here wasn’t as overwhelming as others I’ve come across here but that just meant that the food that was on the menu was of a very tasty quality. The owner is also very friendly and helpful. Definitely come here if you have the chance!

Was ok - Edit
The curry was tasty enough but the other half's noodles and veg were bland. At 35 k reasonably priced but the portions were miniscule.

Cari Banh Mi - Edit
I came by for a mid afternoon snack of Cari Banh Mi, a Vietnamese curry soup served with baguette for dipping instead of noodles. It had nice flavor, although it was a bit watery. It was also a bit more expensive than some of the other veggie spots in town. I’m wondering if this is because the prices aren’t posted not the menu and the owner is charging a tourist premium for people like me. Either way, it’s still not that expensive (35,000 dong for my meal), but I was taken a bit by surprise in comparison to similar restaurants in town.

Unassuming tasty local place - Edit
A bit out of the old town, but that's reflected in the cheaper prices. My boyfriend and I both had the curry soup with bread (35,000d) and found it to be really tasty. I also had a delicious mushroom-filled bahn bao (15,000d). Quick service and friendly staff, the guy who took our order spoke perfect English.

I came here for dinner. I tried the Cao Lou at the suggestion of the guy working here (I think it’s a family that owns it, and he was the son). It came out like 2 mins after I ordered it, and I’m pretty sure that the noodles were just reheated and everything was thrown in. I could tell the noodles had been cooked a while ago. The flavour of the rest was good, it just felt like it wasn’t that fresh. I think this is common in Vietnam as I’ve had this experience a few times. All in all it was alright. I paid 25,000 dong for the Cao Lou in April 2018.

The Cao Lau was good with a good variety of replica meat and textures if that is your preference. The menu is modestly small and price is cheap. The sautéed vegetables were... sautéed vegetables.

Great little place, lovely lady! - Edit
We went here for lunch and ordered Cau Lau and my parnter had the noodle dish-
Read moreThe noodle dish was packed with vegetables, all cooked fresh. There was tofu, green beans, cabbage, carrot, pepper... It was delicious! We thought it came with rice noodle but they seemed to be wheat. It was a great size and was just 35k which is definitely on the cheaper side compared to other restaurants in the area.
The cau lau wasn't to my taste but then I didn't know what to expect and it does mimic the classic dish here. I saw many other people have it after me and they really enjoyed it. It comes more cold, as the tofu was from the fridge and the noodles are cold too, the greens raw. We asked if there was any msg and the lady said they didn't use but the cau lau is cooked in sweet chilli sauce and those were sold in the restaurant shop did contain msg which was a shame. It might be good to ask next time.
Anyway, the lady was lovely and We do recommend the place. We will be back for more veg and noodles!

Delicious!! - Edit
Lovely little restaurant, with a small but good menu. The curry was amazing, packed with tofu, veggies and potatoes, with a choice of rice noodles or bread. My partner had the crispy noodles, very nice. They come with mushrooms and other veggies. Nice change from the buffet style veggie restaurants we have been used to in Vietnam. Highly recommended. Nice and friendly service.
