Had the mix fried veg and mushrooms, added tofu for extra 10,000 and then some rice. Was pretty good and the portion was huge! Could’ve served 2 to be honest but of course I finished it solo.

Banana Pancakes - Edit
Came here twice while in Dong Van. They happily veganized their yummy banana pancakes for me when asked. Friendly staff.

Pretty good tofu with tomato - Edit
It has become really a go to dish for me in Northern Vietnam: tofu with tomato sauce. I had it in lots of varieties, and this one is pretty good. Natural made tomato sauce, you can see the tomatoes and the fresh herbs in it! Not too pricey (keeping in mind the other restaurants around): 40k for a big plate of tofu. Keep in mind that you also have to pay for some rice: 20k small portion.

Tasty tofu and veggies - Edit
There are only a few veggie/vegan options but the tofu in tomato sauce and the cabbage were quite tasty. (The greens should also be good)
Read moreIt’s a good spot to go to if you search for veggie vietnamese food but it’s not super cheap. (Because of the touristy area)
Pros: tasty veggies and tofu, Rice was good
Cons: Little bit more pricy (not the cheapest)

Decent vegan options - Edit
Went here for breakfast and dinner whilst doing the Ha Giang loop. Has a few veggie options like tofu, vegetables . Tried to ask to make spring rolls vegan but apparently they could not . If you go for breakfast you can ask them to make you vegan banana pancake just say no egg no milk. Same with the smoothies just ask no milk. Good portions .

wonderful fresh food and friendly service - Edit
You can't expect a restaurant in rural Northern Vietnam not to serve meat so if I were you - I would disregard that last review.
Read moreWe were very impressed with the owner's attitude to our vegan requests. Very accommodating.
On the menu are a few vegan options like the stir fried green beans (which were delicious!), Tofu in tomato sauce, stir fried veggies with mushrooms, veggie soup and the usual rice and noodle dishes.
When we asked for a smoothie without milk, sugar or straw it was not a problem. Nothing but smiles all around.
Pros: Lovely setting overlooking the square, Cheap, Good English
Cons: none

Vegan frendly - Edit
A small restaurant with lots of meat but some dishes for vegetarians and vegans. As everywhere in Asia ask for preparation without fish sauce and chicken powder. otherwise you'll get it.
