Much Vegan

Great Vegan options, magical juices, sweet staff. A good place to take a load off outside under an umbrella on the patio.

So many options!

Lots of options. There is cheese so check carefully if the sauces and dressings are vegan. The staff were not as knowledgeable as I would like about which sauces are vegan, so we just ate without. The vegan fish tacos were wonderful even without sauce.

Pros: Many options, Vegan protein

More than Meets the eye

This is a hidden gem for anyone interested in healthy food. They have burgers and pasta and deceptively healthy sandwiches. While there is cheese on the menu there are plenty of alternatives. I've been eating here for decades and have always enjoyed my meals. One of the top five vegan restaurants in the entire Coachella Valley.

Pros: Casual but with lots of seating, wide menu selection, great vegan groceries in addition to cafe

Cons: Food is delicious, Staff is courteous, Always clean and tidy

Healthy and Tasty

Get the Guacamole “chicken” wrap, hold the cheese - fantastic. The side salad with balsamic is great. Has the best guacamole in town - can order to take-out.

Super delicious & healthy

Way back in the day, this place was the only option in town for vegan food. It’s still definitely worth a visit. They have a huge selection of menu items and we enjoyed the Caesar salad and spicy chicken wrap. They both hit the spot!

So Many Options!

Delicious, affordable, and fresh! While this is an all-vegetarian restaurant, basically everything is vegan or can be easily made vegan by omitting cheese or egg. They offer tofu scrambles in the place of egg, all their salad dressings are vegan, and they have the largest selection of plant-based milks I have seen. All “meat” products are mock meat and they have a huge menu. Deli-style/order at the counter with some tables/seating available within a natural foods store.

Amazing Food & People!!

The food is so fresh and clean, it’s the way you wish you could make it in your kitchen. Feels homemade, yet with a creative use of ingredients.

Pros: Fresh ingredients, whole foods , Try the Espresso Date Shake, it’s amazing, Easy menu, adjustments and ordering

Cons: None! If you are concerned about ambiance, the cafe is in a small grocery store, , however, the environment is sweet & clean.

Fabulous spot for lunch and groceries

This place is small, but they sure pack a lot in. Really good options for vegan groceries and cosmetics. The café has a huge menu for the size and everything was very tasty. The only real downside is that the café serves food with single-use dishes and cutlery, so best to come prepared with your own containers and cutlery.

Really genuine

A nice down to earth place with a large menu! Yesterday we got a green spicy chicken wrap with salad and the beyond burger with chips and salsa. The veggies were so fresh! Can’t wait to return :)

Good food and shakes

The experience is like going to a consession stand with a few tables in a grocery store, but the food was good, plenty of options for vegans, and there’s plenty of good shakes. I recommend totally, but be prepared for the ambience.

Tofu Burrito

Their tofu burrito is a knockout! It was served piping hot and was simply seasoned deliciously. It really does have every color of the rainbow of food in it. I loved that I could have tofu, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, chard, squash, red cabbage and carrots all in one serving. Oh yes and it came with a side of brown rice.

Decent Food, Nice Staff

First I want to say that the grocery side of this place is Vegan friendly. As for the food, it was good with the help of salt and pepper. The staff was nice and friendly.

Pros: Nice grocery store

Great Place to shop and eat!

We traveled to Palm Springs for a meeting and spent 4 days there. We went out of our way 4 separate times to eat at the small cafe inside the store and to shop. The menu is varied and is mostly Vegan. The owner had a very good knowledge of the health benefits of different foods and was touting his use of turmeric in one of there many fresh juices the make the first time we visited. All of the food is organic in the cafe!

Nice Place in Palm Springs

Not easy to find vegan food in Palm Springs. We had breakfast here - I had a nice tofu scrambler. The place is friendly and we will back on our next Palm Springs visit. Thanks happy cow.

Updated from previous review on Tuesday December 24, 2013: Came again this year for take out lunch and found that they use bread with honey, so I could not have any of their sandwiches but I did find another option. Next time we will check the items before we leave the store.

Pros: Great for breakfast

Cons: Limited vegan options

A welcoming oasis in Palm Springs

A welcoming oasis in Palm Springs. Not so much a cafe as a few tables in a health food shop, even so, there is a wide range of food on offer, both to eat in and take away. However, vegans be warned, the staff do not all know what veganism means. The first time we ate there we were assured both by the person taking our order and also the cook that the burgers we ordered were vegan; the second time we were told that the bread for them had honey in. Having managed to find vegan food throughout the US, including the deep south, it was somewhat disappointing to have been fed non-vegan food in a health shop.

Pros: Friendly, Quick Service

Great Times Two

If you are lucky, you will find a restaurant with either great food or great service. Tonight, I found both!

Gerald was the person behind the counter who took the order. He gave me suggestions based on his favorites. Prior to going Vegan, I loved chicken wings. So, I ordered the Vegan wings. Very tasty with some great sauces. I also ordered the hummus appetizer. Hummus was thick and tasty but the crackers were really good. I broke down and ordered the peanut butter parfait(as a vacation treat). Soooo good. I took most home so I can eat with blackberries. Even better! Also, Alex, the server, was friendly and welcoming from the moment I entered until I left.

I will be in Palm Springs 4 more nights before I return home to Seattle. I am sure to return before I leave. Maybe their returned Reuben or the southern "bisket" muffalletta.

More to come.

Pros: Chicken Wings, Gerald and Alex, Peanut Butter Parfait

Cons: Loud door, none, none

Amazing Customer Service, DO NOT miss the CAFE!

I wrote a more extensive review for the Cafe with is inside and part of the this charming corner healthfood store. I can rave enough about the level of service. You're greeted warmly and prompted offered help finding anything. They have a very nice selection of items and are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their products. Go here hungry, though and do yourself a favor and give the cafe a spin. They'll work with what ever they've got in the store to make you what ever you want. You'll be amazing at the quality of ingredients and mastery of the cooking. If you are looking for endless and rare products I'd being doing a disservice not to mention Clark's Nutrition which is twice the size of a Whole Foods and seemingly stocks every single item you can ever imagine, however, its not the same. Nature's Health Food is your neighborhood store where you instantly feel welcome and a part of the family.

Pros: the Cafe!, customer is #1

Great Health Food Store w/ Counter Service

I visited this little store while on a cross country trip and was quite surprised at how complete their regular stock of supplements and healthy snacks are! I tried the vegan BLT at the recommendation of another happy cow user and it was GREAT! On another visit, I also tried the chinese fried rice which was ok and a giant burrito wrap of some sort which was very good. Overall I would give this place a 5 rating since it's one of the only healthy places in the area, but I give it a 4 because they're so damn expensive! (Sorry guys). Service was very good too btw.

Pros: healthy snacks, take out food, supplements

Cons: expensive!

Kangan water

I've been in town visiting and going to this place daily, it's great! I did want to switch my mom over from bottled water (she lives here) to kangan alkaline water but boy are they charging an arm and a leg!! when one contracts with Kangan water machines, for one they are not supposed to charge for the water but rather try and sell people the machines! Now I was willing to pay something for the water, but how is this an incentive for people to switch from bottled water?

Pros: friendly staff, good selection at cafe

Cons: kangan prices

Store with cafe

Small store with cafe restaurant. I prefer to support this than huge corporate clarks nutrition, but they don't accept food stamps.
