Not bad, could very easily go vegan

Could easily go vegan. E.g., the plate of the day was non-vegan only coz cow cream was added to the veggies — why on earth!? Also, apple crumble, a vegan classic, was non-vegan due to cow butter 🧈 If you go early, food is fresh (and always fries- and burger-free). Concept is from the 1980s, you pay salad by weight. Friendly, small, peaceful. Not inexpensive (as Happy Cow suggests): Small glass of cheap sparkling water water from plastic bottle 2,30 €, medium salad 7 €. 20 seats with tables inside, two (but seats only, no table) outside. Very friendly staff.

meet the bio-oldies

Its a simple and friendly place with a daily changing menu containing regional and seasonal food mainly focussing on vegetarian dishes, still offering a meat dish (often fish) It seems people at Naturell aim mostly on the "healthy" way of nutrition using ingredients from regional organic farming. When I went there this week during lunch time, I was definitely the youngest guest and I already passed the mid 30ies. Prices are adapted to the purses of the clients. Göttingen has a vivid student scene, but probably none of them would come here as long as grandma would not invite them ;-). Anyhow I was very well attended and ordered the mediterranean vegetables on millet for 8€ and a small cup of spring water for 1,7€. It was tasty but nothing special and I surely would get it in Berlin for half the price. There were also some kind of cabbage dish and a salad bar. They offered a vegetable cutlet separated but no soy-,
seitan- or other high protein veggie-food. If you are looking for real vegetarian or even vegan cuisine, check out the monthly buffet at the students place (every second tuesday) or the cooking circle of Zeitgeist, which are listed here at happycow as well and write a review.

Pros: tasty & healthy, central, friendly service

Cons: pricy, no tofu, seitan & co, serve meat
