Selling local goods in addition to bulks foods, organics, supplements, pet & wildlife care (vegan suet for birds), books and gift items. Operating since 1980. Open Mon-Sat 9:00am-6:00pm, Sun 1:00pm-6:00pm.
Walking in the door, I was greeted by tea, cookies, and Hü chocolate bars! They had me at Hello! Lots of supplements to choose from. A grocery selection with favorite brand names and lots of local products too. This seemingly tiny store, has twists and turns and around every corner there is a treasure. Organic clothing, fair trade artisan baskets and handbags, local crafts, books, handmade jewelery, crystals, essential oils, hand crafted soaps, greeting cards, smudging sage, you name it. I was so very happy to find locally grown sprouts. They even sell sprouting vessels if you want to grow your own! Fresh ground coffee and kombucha on tap, and there's always a sample for tasting. There's so much more. You really have to stop in and say hello. I just recently moved to the area and this gem of a place, which I am told has been around for decades, is my favorite place to shop.
In an area where there aren't many options, this is a great place to go! There wasnt much fresh food, so it's definitely not a one-stop-shop, but for shelf stable items it is great!
The selection here is excellent - tons and tons of vegan items, many of which I can't get in the larger area I live in. And the customer service is incredible - I bought several Miyoko cheeses to take home, but after mentioning that I was going on a day trip into Philadelphia he insisted on giving me a reusable insulated zip-top bag with several cold packs for free. We talked about other vegan products (and he displayed some serious knowledge based on having tried them), and then gave my husband a pack of vegetarian burgers that he recommended for free. (He wanted to give me the vegan version, but was out of stock and apologized that he didn't have any to give me!) I'm hugely impressed, and recommend giving them any business you can.
