Tiny, street-facing stand selling dairy-free coconut ice cream treats, including items like coconut tower, coco island (ice cream in mango smoothie), mango paradise (mango sticky rice sundae), super coconut (served in a real coconut with coconut meat), durian lover (sticky rice sundae). This little spot is so delightfully cute and their mango sticky rice sundae is one of the best things I’ve EVER eaten.

What a great little place - Edit
Namamema is barely a stall with a couple of tables and chairs I would have surely missed, without the help of happycow, but be sure you stop by to try one of their delicious desserts. We ordered the banana, sticky rice and coconut ice cream with chocolate chips (I wonder if they're actually vegan) and the mango version and even though I was skeptical at the idea of a salty ice cream I had to change my mind because it's absolutely wonderful!

Pros: Delicious, Cheap, So refreshing
Cons: Few choices - but you don't really need more, Only two tables, four chairs and a bench, Served in plastic cups even if you eat it there

Don’t miss! - Edit
What a great stop for a little (actually huge) treat. We had the mango sticky rice sundae, a cone and the banana sundae. The staff said everything was vegan, but I wasn’t confident enough in their answer to be sure about the cookies that make up the ice cream sandwich.

Must try vegan dessert! - Edit
Everything is vegan but their sundae I believe. We had the mango paradise twice and it is amazing. Essentially mango sticky rice but with ice cream an crunchy rice crisps. Definitely a must try. They also have the banana paradise, and ice cream cookie sandwhich. You can also order the ice cream as is, but I recommend trying one of their fancier desserts, The prices are very affordable.

One is not enough!! - Edit
I went to namamema on the recommendation of a girl in my hostel, and it was the most amazing find!! It was a boiling hot day so I opted for the mango paradise (59 bht) and I literally fell in love. It was absolutely delicious!!! It had sticky rice at the base with lots of fresh mango, then two scoops of salted coconut ice cream (which happily just tasted like salted caramel), one scoop of coconut ice cream, a chunk of caramel flavoured rice crispy and then topped with vegan butter cream sauce!
Read moreI raved about it so much that 4 people from my hostel went back with me 2 days later and all tried it-they liked it so much they had seconds straight away!
The stall itself is just a counter with a few tables in front, so not a sit-in cafe really but it doesn't take anything away from the experience.
If you visit chiang mai DEFINITELY give them a visit. I'll be coming back!!
Pros: All vegan and delicious , Very cheap
Cons: They're only in chiang mai 💔

We were temple hopping and came across this little ice cream shop, the service is hands down amazing the ladies that run the place are the most beautiful people ever. The ice cream was yummy and coconutty. I didn’t try the waffle or the cookie but will have to give it a go next time!

I called into Namamema this afternoon for a snack while walking around the Old City ... had a delicious mango sticky rice sundae (฿49) ... there is a great range of vegan ice cream treats ... very friendly staff ... limited outside seating on a sometimes busy street

Vegan Ice Cream Heaven - Edit
This place is the bomb. I had the “mango paradise” which came with coconut and mango ice cream, sticky rice, crispy rice and fresh mango (49B). If you are a durian lover they’ve got you covered as well.
Read moreI’ve scoped out a few, no frills, street vendors who make vegan coconut ice cream for 20B-30B a serving, but they don’t even come close to this place!
Pros: Everything is vegan except for the dessert contain
Cons: Slightly more expensive than street vendors.

Lovely Ice-cream - Edit
It is a boutique guest house/hotel which has a little kiosk out the front selling non-dairy coconut ice-cream with sundae options with mango/durian and sticky rice. The ice-cream is cheap and tastes good and it is reassuring to know they do not use any milk because you can never be sure from the coconut ice-cream sellers that you see on the streets and markets. Shame that they serve them in disposable plastic cups and spoons.
