Expensive considering the portions - Edit
This was our most expensive meal in Japan, and we ordered the meal A and meal C and a small dessert - the couples set was more expensive. The portions were quite small too, however it was really delicious.

Homely lunch in busy Shibuya - Edit
Lovely vegan spot a short walk from Shibuya Station. Everything tasted great, though the curry itself could've been more flavorful. It all felt very homely, which I appreciate. I especially liked the rice.

Great vegan food in Shibuya - Edit
Nagi Shokudou is definitely one of my favorite vegan places in Tokyo.
Read moreI've been to Nagi on multiple visits to Tokyo and the food has been consistently delicious, high quality, and well-priced. Like many places, the best value is during lunch, but it's fun to go with a group at dinner too.
My favorite dish here gravitates around the soy meat (karage), that is a common feature at many vegan joints in Tokyo. However, Nagi's quality and sauce is noticeably better than some, and the portions were generous (in my mind).
There's both seating at traditional western tables, as well as Japanese seating (you will have to take off your shoes).
Definitely recommend if you're in Shibuya. Depending on what direction you exit the station from, it should be easy to find. If you're on the side with the hills (opposite direction the scramble) you're going the right way!
Pros: Generous Portions, Good value

Amazing and Delicious - Edit
Everything was so good. Curry here is better than in the US. Their Banana and Caramel cake is simply to die for. I wanted to get one to go but I think I would be tempted to eat it on the cab ride back to the hotel. Must come here again!

A tasty(ish) meal but not worth the high price - Edit
The interior was pretty worn, and the restaurant was very hard to find but that's no fault of the owners at all, so no lost marks for that.
Read moreWhilst the side dishes were limited (we were unable to choose them ourselves) the main course - battered, fried sweet and sour soy meat - was large however there was not enough rice at all to compliment this and we really wished we'd had more as we left still hungry and lighter in wallet/purse.
Nonetheless the staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive!
Pros: Lots of options but hardly any available, Japanese style seating
Cons: Expensive , Small portions, Shabby interior

Really lovely authentic Japanese restaurant. If I come back, I’d get the curry set with soy meat. The fig crumble cake was soooo good as well (*´ω`*)

Good affordable vegan food - Edit
Update after several months: upgrading to 5*
Read moreVery high consistency in the quality of the food. The opening hours also make it an easy go-to for lunch and dinner. They also do take-out which is very convenient.
Many foreigners every day. Not surprising given the great quality, strong English reviews, and limited vegan choices in Tokyo.
Great little place and I'm glad for their service.

Original review November 2018
The place is a bit run down but the consistency of the food and service is there.
There's always foreigners eating here, probably thanks to online reviews. English spoken well enough.
Good affordable vegan food.
Vegan deserts are always a nice plus.
Pros: Reasonable offering and price, Vegan deserts , Decent service
Cons: Somewhat crummy setting

Vegan japanease food - Edit
It is a small restaurant and a little bit hidden. Our 1000 yens menu consisted on a miso soup, brown rice, 3 appetizers and a main dish. The food was really good, but be prepare for small portions, which are typical in Japan. You can only pay by cash and they speak good English.

Homely food - Edit
Nagi shokudo is my favorite of vegan restaurants in Tokyo. I visit this restaurant every time I come back to Tokyo.
Read moreWhile other vegan places in shibuya area offer posh and western style vegan food, Nagi continues to offer a Japanese traditional style homemade food for reasonable price.
The space is very simple, yet has very nice homely atmosphere. There are two types of seats, one you can sit on a chair and other you sit on the floor.
The food is just excellent, they never betrayed me. My favorite is fried soy meat, it’s got very nice texture and has delicious sauce on them.(soy sauce based in summer)this is must try! Each little deli dishes have unique flavors, and you can taste Japanese home food.

Simple Affordable Vegan Place in Shibuya - Edit
Read the Vegan Tokyo Guide on https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-tokyo-guide/
Read moreShibuya is one of the places you must visit in Tokyo for the famous Shibuya crossing and countless shops. There aren’t many vegan restaurants in Shibuya, butNagi Shokudo is an exception.
This vegan restaurant is about 10 minutes from Shibuya station (JR line West exit). The shop is not very big and has about 20 seats. A few assorted plates, and other sides and drinks are offered.
The “Nagi A Plate” has a plate of fried soy meat drizzled with a sweetened soy sauce (in winter), 3 small sides, miso soup and rice. The fried soy meat is well made with a chewy texture. The sauce complements it very well.
The sides may be different from time to time. When I visited, they were veggies with curry sauce (has kind of a Thai flavor), radish and tofu, and mushroom and chinese kale. They all taste pretty good.
The rice is a bit mushy for the time of visit, which is surprising in Japan as every restaurant seems to know how to cook rice perfectly.
Overall Nagi Shokudo is a good choice in the area. 1080 yen for the amount and quality of food is a steal.
Pros: All vegan, Affordable
Cons: Rice is a bit mushy

We took the set meal for 2 and the banana-caramel cake for desserts. Everything was delicious and the set meals let you taste a bit of everything. Protein portions were also great and diversified (tofu, soy “meat,” falafels).

Great food in a lovely setting - Edit
I took my Omni friends to this restaurant and they all loved it! Located in a cute little street about 5mins walk from Shibuya station. The ladies were very kind and accommodating. My friends got the curry sets, but I got the lunch set where you could select several small dishes. The flavours were delicate and delicious. You could tell the ingredients were very fresh. It had a very nice atmosphere too. Great value for money as well! We also bought some cakes to take away (I wish I had bought them all - they weren’t too sweet and you could really savour the flavours). I would highly recommend coming here😄

Wonderful food in a quiet place - Edit
The sample menu offering a little bit of everything is exquisite. The place is hard to find, as far as I could see only a handwritten sign with an arrow pointing down to the basement where the restaurant lies. It's a small place, not fancy, but very down to earth, intimate and quiet compared to Shibuya, a few blocks up the road. And it offers a very eclectic range of music.

delicious! - Edit
Two of us went for lunch. We each got the "choose 3" lunch sampler, and so we had 6 of the 10 or so options on the lunch menu. Everything was good, and most things were great. Lunch also came with a small salad, miso soup, and brown rice. The food was delicious, we got to have a wide variety of dishes, and the prices were very reasonable. If you're in the area, go there!
