Good but not a must

First of all I wanna say the staff treated me very nicely and introduced me to their vegan menu.

They have a table charge food, the one you usually can't choose in other restaurants and here they had a vegan one, which I appreciated a lot.

My lasagna was good, especially the vegan cheese.
There were too many renkon slices in it for my taste though. Pumpkin and zucchini too, but mostly renkon.

I think coming here for their vegan cakes might have been a better option. They have plenty of tasty looking ones!

Cozy and good portion

They only had one vegan option on the lunch menu, dumplings with rice, mashed potato and salad, but it was good. Decent portion. I also had the apple pie for dessert, also delicious. The waitress was really nice.

Amazingly slow, disappointing when it came, small portions

The main thing to know is that we waited well over an hour for the first main dish to arrive, and about another ten minutes after that for the second. They apologised, but I really think when food is that slow, they should at least offer a discount or something.

Confusingly, there's a mandatory appetiser and a requirement to buy at least one drink per person. The waitress didn't really have the English to explain this, so we thought maybe we were allowed NO MORE THAN one drink, and would get an appetiser free. Lol. The misunderstanding is nobody's fault, but the policy strikes me as bizarre. It's basically a table charge by other means.

The menu included several things which apparently have vegan options, but there seemed to be no way to actually choose an option in the app, so we just went for only things that are vegan by default.

The appetisers were all fine, but unexciting - the mandatory one was a little bit of nicely dressed tomato, grated carrot and okra. We also ordered smoky aubergine with tartare sauce; a green salad including some impractically large lettuce leaves.

The lasagna, after about 75 minutes, was fairly good, but not really hot enough, and a surprisingly stingy portion.

The final insult was the "Japanese style" pasta, by which I guess they mean it has some lotus in it? This was a small portion of extremely simple spaghetti, topped with a repeat of that mandatory appetiser, and for some reason just incredibly salty. Like, it's 25 minutes later and my mouth still feels weird.

I wish I'd looked at more reviews, and just picked something up from Lawson instead of making the journey. I now see from Google Maps reviews that many people have had this kind of wait recently.

Stylish, convenient location, decent options

Options have expanded since I first came here. Vegan lasagna and soy meatballs were delicious.
As before, the location is great, right by Skyle Sakae, and the hours are long. The space is large and decorations are stylish. Also the apple pie- fantastic ptio

Nice Restaurant

The lunch menu and the apple pie was really good but I wouldn’t recommend the main dishes for dinner. I would also order some side dishes because the mains aren’t much.

Pros: Friendly service , Nice apple pie and lunch

Cons: A little pricey
