Perfect vegan bed & breakfast - Edit
My husband and I spent 2 nights at this wonderful, clean, friendly, vegan bed & breakfast. Such a joy to be catered for so well. My husband requires gluten-free food and the breakfasts and evening meal that Cathy served us were perfect. We were warmly welcomed by Cathy and her beautiful dog, Ruby. Every town in the Country should have a Nab Cottage! Highly recommended for fellow vegan travellers, or any travellers that will appreciate a warm welcome, comfortable room and great food!

Probably the most vegan-friendly place I've ever stayed - and one of the nicest generally - Edit
Cathy is the perfect vegan host and has made sure not just the food but the toiletries, drinks in the room and so forth, are vegan-friendly and also as eco-friendly as possible (refillable soap containers, unbleached bedclothes...).
Read moreLeaving that aside, everything is ultra-comfortable and in the case of the food delicious so I won't hesitate to recommend it to non-vegans too. There are lots of thoughtful touches like home-made cookies and oatmilk (in a mini fridge) in the bedroom and fresh fruit at breakfast (in contrast with the sad-looking fruit salads that quite posh hotels sometimes produce, if you're lucky!). Cathy herself is friendly and helpful, and also interesting to talk to.
We didn't have a dog with us but dogs are also welcome and there is a resident dog, the lovely Ruby, to show them the ropes. The cottage has a large garden and there are also great walks for humans and/or dogs nearby.
We were pleasantly surprised by Bexhill which has interesting things to see and do (a great local history museum as well as the modernist De La Warr Pavilion and a picturesque old town with partly Saxon church). The railway connects it with other visitable towns such as Battle and Rye so you don't need a car to get around. Even though Nab Cottage feels as if it's almost in the country (it originally stood in farmland if I understood correctly) the walk to town only took us about 25 minutes, and we weren't rushing.
Cathy has a list of vegan-friendly restaurants in Bexhill and we spotted more.
Pros: Vegan and eco-friendly, Amazing home-cooked breakfast & (optional) dinner, Pretty house and garden in a great location
Cons: Nothing - but wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect vegan haven - Edit
We just got back from our wonderful weekend stay at Nab Cottage and couldn't have been happier! The beautiful property was both rustic and modern at the same time. Recently refurbished, Cathy, the owner, had thought of everything from under floor heating in the bathroom, ethical toiletries, to a little fridge in each room to hold fresh oat milk. We loved the homemade vegan cookies that she placed in our room each day with the tea and coffee making facilities and the amazing breakfast buffet including hot and cold mostly home made vegan selections, we stuffed ourselves and I was sorry I couldn't eat more! It was also lovely to meet Cathy's dog Ruby, the friendly Golden Retriever, as dogs are very welcome there! There was an option to have a 3 course home cooked vegan dinner for £25 but we weren't able to stay for dinner on this occasion. Worth mentioning that all diets including gluten free are catered for. Cathy was friendly and helpful, accommodating our needs well, even lending me a hot water bottle and was happy for me to use the fridge in the communal living room when I had the need. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone looking for a vegan get away, you will feel very comfortable and well looked after! We hope to be able to return one day. Thanks so much to Cathy and of course Ruby!

This is us back for the next time, and it's still an absolute joy! Dinner and brekkie both delish, feeling both homely and indulgent. Super comfy room and a fab board game collection. Gorgeous garden with summer house. My son says he would like to come back every weekend. Highly recommend x

WOW! we are already planning on coming back! - Edit
Cathy and her dog Ruby were so welcoming in their beautiful cottage. There’s a lot of detail that goes into making this B&B a lovely place to stay. Cooked breakfast was included as part of our stay, and we opted for the cooked dinner option too (£25pp) - so worth it! We are already planning on returning in the summertime with our dog.

Exdcellent b&b with amazing food - Edit
A wonderful stay. Cathy welcomed us into her home which is set in an idylic rural lane but close enough to walk into Bexhill. Her dogs were placid and friendly, the large garden is a relaxing space and the food was delicious. Eco-friendly, plant based with some lovely personal touches in our room. A hidden gem and a great place to recharge your batteries as situated in a peaceful location.

A gem of a place - vegan and dog friendly😄 - Edit
Just back from a lovely break spent in this gem of a place. Cathy (and her lovely golden retriever Ruby 😊) were very welcoming to us and our dog. The cottage (including our room) was very tranquil, cosy and designed to a very high standard. The garden, which we had access to was lovey and peaceful. Everything provided is plant based and eco-friendly with no compromise on luxury. The breakfast was amazing and while there were quite a few places nearby that catered for vegans (all listed in the fully detailed welcome pack found in our room!), Cathy’s baking and cooking were so good that we decided to stay in and have dinner twice- on both occasions, the 3-course meal was lovely. The homemade cookies provided as part of the beverage tray in our room were delicious, and afternoon tea including scones are also available at the cottage.

New vegan B&B - Edit
I'm opening my B&B on 1st March 2019 and I look forward to welcoming fellow veggies and vegans from all around the world. I have been vegan for the past 15 or so years and have worked in some veggie cafes (Willow in Totnes and Pogo in Hackney) I always offer gluten-free options. My B&B is dog-friendly and child-friendly. Bexhill is on the south coast of England between Hastings and Eastbourne.
