Do not order - Edit
Ordered from their vegan menu on DoorDash. Was eating the beans and noticed there was something that looked like beef. Called up and they absolutely did not care. They told us it’s not a vegan dish. We asked why it’s on the vegan menu. She got annoyed and dismissed us again and told us it’s not vegan and you have to ask for it to be vegan. Doubt they have any plans to change it. Can’t believe this happens in 2025. Yuck.

Super quick service - Edit
Fair few things to choose from. I had the eggplant tofu dish. It was mostly eggplant. It was pretty tasty. Rice was nice too.

Best vegan chinese - Edit
Absolutely love this place. They have so many vegan options and all are amazing. Stand out for me has to be the sweet and sour tofu, closely followed by the salt and pepper tofu and the crispy eggplant.
Read moreThe only negative thing I can say is every once in a while when ordering takeout, they have mixed up the sweet and sour tofu dish and put a chicken dish in instead (they look very similar). So if I’m picking up I usually check before I drive home. Which is annoying to have to do but the food is worth it.

Small Spot that Packs a Punch! - Edit
Blink and you’ll miss this artsy little Chinese restaurant on Darby. We spotted a vegan sign on the window of this joint when we were out exploring Darby Street last weekend.
Read moreWe spoke with the owner and found that most of their Veggie dishes already are, or can be made vegan when requested.
Open from 11am most days until late, also available for delivery & food is as close to authentic Chinese cuisine as I can remember having travelled there a couple of years ago.
A lovely hidden gem that’s worth a visit on any occasion. Some of the best vegan food we have found in Newcastle, AUS.
Try the Steamed Vegan Dumplings!
Do it. #Veganuary
Pros: Veggie dishes Vegan on Request, Amazing Vegan Dumplings, Cannot fault the food one bit!
Cons: $15-20 per main, Small-ish, Street Parking Only (but it’s free)
