Serves meat, vegan options available. This pizza place has vegan cheese. Open Mon-Thu 11:00am-9:00pm, Fri 11:00am-10:00pm, Sat 12:00pm-9:30pm, Sun 4:00pm-9:00pm.
Mr Mozzarella, Lismore - apparently ran out of the vegan pepperoni for their vegan pizza.
Replaced it with Quorn mince which contains egg, without mentioning anything in the 15 mins I was in the store waiting for the pizzas.
On a Tuesday night so not super busy.
Ate 2 slices before I realised & called the store back and asked what it was. Nobody knew what was going on & eventually got someone to tell me what they used and read the ingredients.
Cheese on the garlic bread was kinda sus too.
After my initial surprise that Lismore had a pizza shop that had vegan pizzas on the menu, not just veganising a pizza option but fully vegan with heaps of vegan cheese, I ordered one as well as a vegan dessert pizza! I was astounded at how amazing it was! Obviously have been back numerous times of which they have added a vegan margarita, cheesy garlic bread, churros with choc sauce and vegan sorbet! Highly recommend! Plus after speaking to the owner about cross contamination was reassured that this was very important for them and they use different gloves and cutting equipment!!! Kicks [censored] over Dominos!
I'd almost completely crossed pizza off my list of foods (that I enjoy eating) until I tried Mr Mozzarella vegan pizza. For me, pizza brings to mind puddles of oily cheese and gloopy pizza base, but neither of these apply with Mr Mozzarella pizza. My companion and I ordered one vegetarian and one vegan pizza “Veggie Patch” and “Cheesy Vegan”. To my surprise, both were pretty good, with the vegan pizza actually being tastier of the two. Definitely worth a try.
The first pizza I got from here was awesome! However, I have bought pizza from here 3 more times since and everytime it has been really soggy, still tastes good but it kind of ruins it.
I would also like to be able change other pizzas to be vegan by substituting with the vegan cheese but it costs an extra $4 when you do it that way so ends up being too expensive :(
It would also be good if they had a vegan meal deal or something like they do for the other pizzas...
FYI: There are two vegan pizzas to choose from. They have vegan cheese, vegan peperoni and a vegan green chilli mayo swirl, and you can also get vegan churros with vegan chocolate sauce.
