Portuguese Pizza Please - Edit
We tracked this place on Happy Cow and were met with a small choice of vegan pastries and great tasting coffees. We then devoured vegan option Mourapão pizzas which didn’t disappoint. Easily the most vegan options available that we have come across in Portugal. Hurrah!

A few vegan snack choices - Edit
A few choices, such as wraps and one vegan pastry. We had bruschetta and it was fresh and tasty. The juices were good, too.

Myself and my wife are here yesterday. I had the vegan burger (veggie patty thing not fake meat) and my wife had a mushroom pizza! We started and finished the meal with vegan pastel de nata (traditional egg custards).

LOTS of vegan options, and delicious! - Edit
No communication problems at all - they clearly understand veganism, and the items in the pastry case are clearly labelled with little flags. When we visited, they had one pastie and a vegan pastel de nata - GET ONE! (or five). They are absolutely delicious and we will be back for more before our holiday ends. It’s so lovely to be able to try such a classic cultural item, veganised! This business should be cheered for this - and I really hope they continue to do it. On the main menu, there are some vegan dishes (including burger), and many that can be veganised. I had a mushroom pizza - vegan version. Delicious!

P.S. There seems to be confusion about the location of this café, it is on the corner opposite the pink apartment building (“Vila Lusa”) and across the road from McDonald’s. It is not the café on the other corner of this block (which has hardly any vegan options and is super expensive).
Pros: Pastel de nata! (Really, you have to try!), So many veganisable dishes, Staff all understand veganism and speak english

Read moreIt’s located in a very busy street, with a lot of tourists. I was in a hurry so this was the perfect place. They know what vegan is, the food is tasty and well prepared. Not pricey at all!

We had the vegetariana pizza made vegan, which was very tasty. There were lots of options, and there were croissants and cakes too. We went for dinner and had a lovely time, sitting outside. Definitely more cafey like than restauranty but still lovely for an evening meal and a short walk from the harbour.

Just saw these comments today. Please note that I did ask the staff that was working there if they have vegan options and the tall guy said no. We came for pastries and maybe this was a communication problem and he referred only to pastries and not to food in general. Nevertheless it is not the customer’s job to clarify this and the guy could have simply said „we ran out of vegan pastries, but we can offer you a vegan dish from the menu“ or „we ran out of vegan pastries today, but we will have them again tomorrow“. But his answer instead was „No.“

More of a "local"vibe than the restaurants around the marina. Several vegan food options at lunchtime and then again in the evening. Mainly vegan versions of pizza, pasta, burgers etc. We had the vegan burger which was an actual veggie burger, not a fake meat one, with guacamole, hummous, and nice fresh salad items, all in a wholemeal bun. The vegan version of the vegetarian pizza was ok, but to my personal taste the vegan cheese was too much and too "wet". Just a preference.

Nice to see more than the standard burger and lots of ways to make normal menu vegan. Vegan lasagne was lovely and also got a soy latte without problem although I think the milk may have been a little off. Would have been a 4 if the table service was better.
