Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant with a number of vegan dishes. One of a few locations. Open Mon-Thu 17:30-22:30, Fri-Sat 12:00-23:00, Sun 12:00-22:00.
I'm surprised at the poor reviews here. Unlike many Indian restaurants, they make a point about catering for vegans. And the meal I had was great. Fresh food with interesting specials. Felt authentic to me...
We had one of the worst meals on our Scotland vacation here and probably the worst Indian food we have ever had anywhere. We love good Indian food and have had it in several countries and have it at home frequently. Besides the bland, overpriced food, the maitre d' was rude and dismissive of us. He really had an oversized ego, treating customers poorly and yelling at the kitchen staff (which we could hear in the dining room). Provided a very negative atmosphere. If you are in the area, recommend eating elsewhere.
Really enjoyed my meal at Mother India, and was impressed by the freshness, flavour and quality of the food. It doesn't have a seperate vegan menu, and whilst dishes are marked if they contain dairy etc, it would be helpful if they could specify what is vegan. However, I really enjoyed my meal, and would happily eat there again.
We were obliged to go due to family do. There were no vegan options only vegetarian. Meal was ok but quite greasy and salty. Restaurant needs to move with the times and have a proper vegan menu. We avoided the naan bread as it looked like it had been buttered and was possibly made with yogurt. It's all a pity as it's a nice place in a good location.
Briliant. One of the best Indian meals we have ever had and we’re seasoned travelers of India. Portions and quality made the slightly higher price completely worth it. We both had veg thali and veg pakoras and everything was mouth wateringly delicious. I will go on every trip to Glasgow from here on it!

Pricy - Edit
Food was quite good but a bit pricy for the size. Location was convenient, right next to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
