Bland food - Edit
Maybe I ordered the wrong things - the (friendly and fun) guy at the bar recommended the lychee sake that I’ll not plan to get again. The mako tofu and daikon cakes were just ok - not a lot of flavor. The bao bins weren’t bad but seemed expensive ($10 for 2).
Read moreThe outside dining area was nice (despite a lot of kids running around when I visited on a Saturday evening).
Plan to revisit as there’s some other menu items that sound good.

Gave it a try... - Edit
I was expecting a lot more and more options since they said Vegan Dim Sum...but definitely missing a lot of possible Dim Sum options....
Read moreSome items were good some were not so good...
Shumai and Daikon Cake actually tasted pretty decent...
Sticky Lotus Leaf Wrap was bland......The Dan Dan Noodles left a bad aftertaste and just was overloaded with sauce that just made it taste terrible....
I probably won't be coming back to this place....

This one takes the cake in having the best vegan dim sum. Xiao Long Bao is so innn-creee-diiii-bleeee. I also loved their shumai, daikon cake and fried oyster mushrooms. Just perfect!!

Delicious but heavy - Edit
Very cute outdoor seating. We got the fried oyster mushrooms, lotus wraps, shumai, and xio long bao. Everything was delicious but I was disappointed with the mushrooms. The menu says dry fried so I was expecting pan fried without batter, but they came out with a very thick oily battered breading like they were deep fried. All the menu items seemed pretty heavy and loaded with fake meat, without many lighter healthier options. Overall, still good though. If they had lighter healthier more whole-food options they would get 5 stars from me.

Tasty food! - Edit
My go-to’s are the Dan Dan noodles, which are spicy and savory with some freshness from the cucumber and cilantro, and spicy wontons, which are vinegary and tingly spice. I’ve tried the fried oyster mushroom but they were too tough and salty so would not recommend.
Read moreAmbience: they have a nice separate patio space, indoor and outdoor, which is good for when the food hall gets crowded.

Best vegan food at LBX - Edit
Love this spot. My usual order is Dan Dan noodles & Shumai and then my husband and I add on from there and eat family style. He’s not always vegan but loves the food here too. The adorable patio is gray to lounge and have a cocktail while waiting.

Pretty amazing… - Edit
This little food post at the Long Beach Hangar sure packs a wallop in flavor. I tried 3 of their most popular dishes: the shumai, xiao long bao and the salt and pepper shrooms. Everything was amazing. It’s not fancy, but the food makes up for it.

ok if you never lived in Asia - Edit
Mapo Tofu was nothing like it should be. It was an ok tofu and fake meat stir fry but just not a mapo tofu. zero spice level, totally lacking in Sichuan peppercorn flavor.

Truly AMAZING!!!!!! - Edit
This place is in a food hall called the hanger which has a bunch of restaurants and shared seating. Really cool vibe and location. We tried everything on the small menu except the scallion pancake and orange chicken because they were out. It was all truly delicious. The shumai was amazing and Dan Dan noodles were loved by all. The crispy oyster mushrooms were a little bland but better with Chinese mustard or soy sauce. We will definitely be going back. Having had meat before, these were so similar. I think you could bring your carnivore friends and they would satisfied.

Super cute place for vegan dumplings! - Edit
I tried out this restaurant with my vegan meet up group, it is a cute little place located inside the hanger near LBX. They had mini dumpling choices and other food items, all vegan, and very delicious! They have a secret red door that you go through that leads to a cute little patio that has a little outside bar where you can order some fun cocktails as well! I ate my food so fast I didn’t take a picture. I highly recommend.

100% delicious - Edit
I do not know how I only discovered this place recently, but better late than never.
Read moreI went with a good friend so we were able to sample and share various items. Service was good, we sat at the outdoor patio bar. Next time I will order a cocktail and report back. Everything we ordered was delicious, but I think my favorite is actually the walnut shrimp or the Dan Dan Noodles. The crispy sweet shrimp was a great balance especially with the heat of other menu items. The Dan Dan noodles were so flavorful I was in heaven!
Go here with an appetite and enjoy.

Could eat here everyday! - Edit
The honey walnut shrimp is insanely delicious. Same with the salt pepper mushroom. Those are my go-tos and never disappoint! All the dim sum is good, wish the xiao long bao had soup inside (and more than 4 pieces) but they are still delicious! The shumai is great too. Been dying to try some items that are always sold out like the scallion pancake rolls. The staff is so nice and helpful and the sitting area is almost like a speak easy! Super cute with a bar in the back (wondering if the bar is fully vegan?) I love this place and could eat here for every meal.

Will be back - Edit
Arrived at 11:30a to about half of the items out, so not sure if these already sold out or weren’t made yet. Shumai, spicy wontons, salt & pepper oyster mushrooms and fried rice came out to just over $50 including tip. Shumai were large and did not taste vegan. Wontons were tasty, but not spicy. Oyster mushrooms were good and flavorful. Fried rice was nothing special. I’d come back to try other items that hopefully won’t be out.

Not worth it - Edit
It looked really good, I typically really love stuff like this but it wasn't worth the $$$. Super small dumpling/buns. So glad it's all vegan though, and the meat was realistic for those who like that!

Great find close to the LB airport - Edit
We landed at the Long Beach airport and came straight here for some dinner. They were sold out of most things, so go early if you want more options. Everything we had was delicious - I especially enjoyed the egg rolls and my husband raved about his fried mushrooms. The enclosed back patio/bar area was nice.

Dan dan and bao! - Edit
What a nice find in Long Beach. I enjoyed the dan dan noodles and the xiao long bao. I would return to try other items at this 100% vegan restaurant. Seating is in the hangar and is used by all the restaurants in the building and they have outside tables, too.
